^Its actually much simpler than that.

If Despotic regimes are not challenged over their avarice, they will continue to take more and more with relative impunity.

I really do hate to agree with you, but you are making it so easy speaking this common sense.

Biden to address the nation in 3.5 hours. Blinken has already spoken with Lavrov. The speech is going to be very instrumental in terms of what is really happening on the border. I'm not sure why Britain is being so aggressive with the weapon shipments to Ukraine. Blinken appears much more 'hawkish' than I was hoping for. Let Biden excell with diplomacy and not try to be too much to appear to be the 'tough guy'. Next three days will be vital.

This is the most hypocritical, two faced, disingenuous sentence I think I have ever read. The brainwashed is you and the other two cretins who swallow the pathetic shit you post as if it had a base in reality. What a clueless blinkered lemming you are aside from being hopelessly stupid.

If there is war it will be 110% started, agitated and initiated by Putin and his cronies, and it will be 110% unprovoked, illegal and unjustified.

Biden seems to feel with certainty that a Russian attack in one form or another is immenent. Presumably he knows something that the rest of us misguided peasants doesn't know. After listening to todays press conference (and I think Biden did well with that long and rambling one years in office speech) there can be no doubt that the Russian troops will be moving into Eastern Ukraine, presumably with some loss of life, which personally I find disgusting. So there will be sanctions and severe ones at that. It's a pity things have come to this. I was defintely wrong on my estimates. If there is not to be an invasion then what strategy would entail Biden sounding so certain that an invasion/ incursion is coming.

The same dickheads that assured us Saddam Hussein posed a 'clear and present danger' to our way of life, and so on. The great unwashed paranoia and ignorance is far preferable to them enquiring about things that really matter, like Covid response, Brexit, BRI, Nordstream, and so on.

What are “muh sources”? Please explain in English.
Like most left wing flakes , you were probably against the Iraq war. At the time, I was serving in the British Army. All UK servicemen and women sign an oath of allegiance to the crown. In peace we train for war. That is our job. As an instrument of government, it’s not our job to determine our deployments or to hold views on the rights or wrongs of it.
In truth, the UK armed forces were unprepared for such deployment, and Brigade level forces were cobbled together from whatever was available at the time. Under such circumstances, we got on with it, improvised and adapted. The expectation for everyone was to get the job done.
And you probably said that the whole thing was based on a pack of lies. The remit of UK armed forces is to get the job done, whatever your personal view is. Armed forces are apolitical. Our role was to support operations at the behest of governments. At the basic level we are concerned about those closest to us, and our survival. The politics of decision making is not our concern. Our primary concern is survival.
just like the rest of them now , you are for the Ukraine war. And you believe it is all based on truths. Because you have no principals. After 22 years service and deployments, I am always sad when diplomacy fails and a decision is taken to go to war. As soon as boots are on the ground in a foreign land, the chance of losing friends and colleagues increases exponentially. The “truth” is, none if wants to die, so we do what we are trained to do.

Who thinks Switch was for the Iraq war ? Anyone ?
Who cares? Is the answer not in a dodgy google link? War is a nasty dangerous business. I can explain it for you, but I can’t understand it for you. As a man child with no point of reference, you can make up any shit you want, but it will never come close to my reality.

Apple and orange Sab. US needed an excuse to invade Iraq so made up one. Assisting the Ukraine against an invasion by Russia is quite a different thing. Seems to me Russia is doing what the US did in justifying the Iraq invasion. Make up a reason to invade the Ukraine who in no way represent a "clear and present danger" to Russia.

The alternative is to do nothing? Ain't going to happen. Up to Putin but in the long run Russia will be the big loser.

Proven facts or a war based on lies?

    Ukraine war mega thread-wite-jpg

The actual facts are far beyond "a clear and present danger".

Constantly killing Russian citizens anywhere, as has been happening for years, by foreign military forces, I would suspect would lead to a response by Russia.

The US has the Monroe doctrine which says it will NOT tolerate a power foreign to its hemisphere , station troops or weapons of war in the hemisphere. Russia has similar fucking red lines about Ukraine. And the US and Nato are walking all over them ! You moron ! Yet YOU are saying this is 110% Putins fault. Hahaha. Brainwashed. Simply brainwashed.

The US and UK didn't have to attack Iraq. And the US and Nato do not have to load Ukraine full of weapons and "advisors" now either. Anyone who condones this activity supports war with Russia. Period.

Here's a time-lapse of just the United Kingdom to #Ukraine weapons airlift flights from the morning of the 17th of January to this very minute on the 19th of January 2022.

The same was said about the Crimea op. And now Russia has Crimea under the nuclear umbrella.

Apparently this thread is about deflection, whataboutism's and goal post shifting in a bizarre attempt to justify an unprovoked attack by Russia.

At the end of the day, this "conflict" is 110% of Putin's creation. If there is a war in Ukraine, it will be 110% because he started it. End of story.

The Mongols, Napoleon, the Ottomans, imperial Germans, the British, the Nazi Germans and now the United States. Every great empire of the day has found a reason to stage troops and military arms on Russia's western border, to try and relieve it of some land.

And just like the Mongols, Napoleon, the Ottomans, imperial Germans, the British, and the Nazi Germans, you are as brainwashed as they were in believing in the legitimacy of it. You'd think it would be different with the internet and stuff but nope. Its never different.

This explains your genetically absurd, idiotic, unpredicable (alcoholism) behavior.

Alcohol consumption in Russia remains among the highest in the world. ... Alcoholism has been a problem throughout the country's history because drinking is a pervasive, socially acceptable behaviour in Russian society and alcohol has also been a major source of government revenue for centuries.

Now Google the list of Russian Vodka billionaires like...

    Yuri Shefler
    etc. etc. etc.
