I don't understand this comment. I was under the impression Königsberg was part of Prussia since around 17C.

It was a response to my comment and it was meant in good humor as we all know a NATO state will not attack ruzzia.

It is home to the Russian Baltic fleet so is unlikely to be taken from Russia.

That said, what the hell would a shabby second rate naval force do to stave off the Polish Army? There are no ruzzian ground troops left there or anywhere else close to there. If the Poles wanted to take it, it would be a quick mop up operation.

Khodakovsky confirms the liberation of Staromaiorske, but says it's not going to be easy for Ukrainians in its ruins. At the same time, he says that occupying the village were the so-called former "DPR" forces that are extremely battered. This shows significant issues for Russia with regards to being able to rotate troops and bring fresh reserves. They have guys fighting there who've been fighting for years now.

ORIKHIV AXIS /2215 UTC 27 JUL/ Sources indicate that UKR forces have opened two new, and successful, lines of advance east of Robotyne. Combat here is discerned as heavy. UKR forces are reported to be advancing south and are in contact at Verbove.

Ukraine has pushed further south off that map. Lots going on with heavy casualties, but the Ukrainians have made a breakthrough there. More to come as it is still early in Ukraine.

UPDATE: Ukrainian Forces report that they have fully liberated the village of Staromaiorske on the T-04-08 Hwy S of Velyka Novoslika. Further advances are now likely in the Mokri Yaly River Valley.

I have been saying for sometime that after the zero line, there are very few ruzzian troops left, and we are going to find out if that is the case in the next 12–24 hours. Keep your eye on south of Velyka Novoslika as well. That line could be collapsing if ruzzian milbloggers are correct.
