The card just shows your entry on the register and if you're registered a card is automatically sent to your registered addreds before every election/referendum you're entitled to vote in. A polling card is not required to vote (that's normally plainly stated in the card itself), being registered is.
I can't show my card to vote cuz I'm here. Yes I know I don't have to show the card. But why send it to me at my Thai address when knowing that I no longer reside there. Why not just send a 'postal vote' application?
