    Dallas suspect - James Boulware

He sprayed the Dallas police headquarters with bullets. He sped off in what appeared to be an armoured vehicle, ramming a police car and leaving behind explosives outside the HQ. The suspected attacker was eventually surrounded at a restaurant car park, with police snipers shooting him dead through the vehicle's windscreen. An American killed by American cops.

It's only 3 months since the last time I read an almost identical story.

Three-year-old Texas boy dies after 'pulling gun from mother's purse and shooting himself in the head'.

In audio tape of a 911 call released by Hamilton police, a woman identifying herself as the mother of Marques Green said she carried the gun in her purse and had set her purse down after getting home.

"My son just shot himself, and I'm not getting a pulse," Elizabeth Green screamed Thursday afternoon. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I'm not getting a pulse ... I don't think he's alive!"

It's the second apparently accidental gunshot death of a young person this month in Hamilton, a city of 62,000 people nearly 30 miles north of Cincinnati.

personally I was waiting for some ambitious prosecute to charge one these sub 6 years old kids that periodically gets a gun and shoots someone dead as an adult on the 'do an adults crime, do an adults time' waiver on child prosecutions.

It's irresponsible to allow kids access to guns without proper safeguards, clearly merkin embryos need firearms training in the womb.

No. Not at all, training or not. (What part of 'full stop' don't you understand?)
What kind of weapons training are you going to give a 3 year old FFS?
Kids shouldn't have access to guns, FULL STOP!

I wasn't talking about no 3 year olds.

By age 5 a child is ready for a BB Gun with proper adult supervision and depending upon the individual's maturity. advancing to a .22 rifle on a range by age 7 or so.

Well, if you live in the States for example and participate in any of the myriad hunting activities that abound there, a kid can become more proficient (& thus a safer) hunter with respect for his/her firearms.
