^^ Not afraid of guns theres just no need for them.
If everyone is armed death & destruction,no one is armed NO death & destruction.
Common sense you just don't seem to get it.

If anyone is insecure it's those that need to possess a gun to feel safe.

Let's not sink into that 'Projection' thing now...

Being afraid of guns is irrational.

That makes no sense. I grew up with guns and have shot guns, I'm not afraid of them.

What's irrational is to surround yourself with guns to feel secure and rant about 'gun grabbers' coming to try and take them away from you. Irrational and unhinged.

Yup...never been my contention that aspect of gun ownership isn't a little 'over-the-top'.

Serious gun collectors who make it their hobby to collect guns are no worse or better than say a coin or stamp collector.

What an utterly stupid thing to say . . . par for the course.

Afraid of guns as inanimate objects? Hardly. Afraid of guns in the hans of people who have lost the ability to be rational? You'd be stupid not to be.

Texas police 'shoot man with hands up'

Video footage has emerged that appears to show police in Texas shooting and killing a man who had his hands up.

In the video, obtained by local media in San Antonio, Gilbert Flores is seen outside a house with his arms raised before shots are fired and he falls.

Police say he was armed and officers first attempted to subdue the 41-year-old with a stun gun.

Are you really that stupid? Suicide by cop means forcing cops to kill you, not holding up your hands.

    Stupid statement eh?

What if it turned out that Genghis Khan did actually have guns? My my, who'd have egg on his face then...

It is well documented that the Mongols used cannons and bombs during the invasions of Japan..

Warfare technology and logistics were other factors in the Mongols' superiority. The gunpowder formula was changed to yield explosive force, rather than slow burn as in fire-lances and rockets. Guns and cannon were developed.

At the height of Genghis Khan's reign, he had vanquished the northern Chinese Jin dynasty and absorbed their heavy cavalry and gunpowder armed infantry into his forces.

Oh well, thanks for playing and here are some lovely parting gifts for you. Better luck next time.

Texas man kills himself while taking selfie with gun

    10:57 AM Thursday Sep 3, 2015

A 19-year-old Texas man is dead after police say he accidentally shot himself while posing for a selfie with a gun.

Deleon Alonso Smith died of a gunshot wound to the throat about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday (6.30am Wednesday NZ time) at an apartment in southwestern Houston.

Investigators say Smith had found a gun and was taking pictures of himself and a cousin holding the weapon and posting them to online when the gun discharged, killing Smith.

Investigators say the cousin was in another room when the gun fired.

    - AP
The solution to this is more guns. Camera-phone guns.

It seems the gun fired all on its lonesome just when he was holding it.

Why having free access to guns is bad, two versions:

    (1) For people who can understand simple maths:

The current population of the US is about 319 million, whereas the UK population is roughly 64 million.
This means there are nearly five time as many people in the US as in the UK, yet the police have managed to killed 776 times more people than officers in Britain.

    (2) For Booners
