The Republican National Committee releases "What Else?" as President Obama's campaign continues to lie about its relationship with the disgusting ad put out by President Obama's Super PAC. After refusing to denounce the lies and distortion of the ad, the Obama campaign repeatedly claimed it had no idea about Joe Soptic's story even though they had him tell the same story during an OFA conference call earlier this spring. So, their actions beg the question--what else are they lying about?

    Excellent ad from the RNC!

^ It wont take too much get the Israelis to 'Up their game', that APC that came in from the Rafah crossing yesterday made about 60 yards before an Israeli fighter plane twatted it.
Give them credit though due to they gave back the charred bodies of the fools that drove it into their lands, for a quick burial.
i dont think those knobheads will get their 52 virgins for such a fuck up.

Saw that yesterday on Fox News and the woman who died did have health insurance but was terminally ill, it is getting dirty now.
Fabricated story but it looks like backfiring.

I'm very pleased republicans are complaining about these appalling SuperPAC's actually- and hopefully they will wholeheartedly join the effort to repeal Citizens United and claim back your democracy.

Romney can’t get away from the question, “Where are the returns?”. And Dim Mitt’s answer is laughable.

The American public (except for those anyonebutobama voters) wants to see them before they will consider voting for you Twit. Dim you can not be trusted.

Bloomberg: Let’s frame the issue around your tax returns in a slightly different way. If you’re an investor and you’re looking at a company, and that company says that its great strength is wise management and fiscal know-how, wouldn’t you want to see the previous, say, five years’ worth of its financials?

Dim Mitt: I’m not a business. We have a process in this country, which was established by law, which provides for the transparency which candidates are required to meet. I have met with that requirement with full financial disclosure of all my investments, but in addition have provided and will provide a full two years of tax returns. This happens to be exactly the same as with John McCain when he ran for office four years ago. And the Obama team had no difficulty with that circumstance. The difference between then and now is that President Obama has a failed economic record and is trying to find any issue he can to deflect from the failure of his record. Thanks, guys. Goodbye.

ABC News: Obama Campaign Admits Knowing Story Behind Man in Super PAC Ad.

“One day after claiming the Obama campaign had no knowledge of the story of the man included in a pro-Obama super PAC ad, spokeswoman Jen Psaki admitted the campaign had worked with him before.”

    Pathetic.

That's odd, here we see Newt telling us that The Obama administration’s decision to rescind some work requirements for Americans receiving welfare is “a clear violation of the law,”

“Section 407 is the key. It says no one, not the president, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the governors, no one can waive the work requirement."

You don't suppose Politico has some sort of agenda here do you?

first of all, enough with the breathless histrionics. no one called anyone a murderer. the ad, while misleading, was factually accurate.

secondly the ad was put out by a super PAC not obama. can't see the difference? take it up with supreme court justices roberts, scalia, alito, thomas and kennedy.

thirdly, it's called politics. if one finds it too rough for his or her delicate sensibilities, than i suggest that person find something else to occupy their time. perhaps collecting star wars action figures?

and let's be clear....the republicans are back on their heels because the democrats are following the republican playbook.....they're hitting first and hitting hard.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Obama appears more foolish, and desperate, every day.
His administration will go into the history books as the one which divided America and turned the US into a welfare state.

    Goodbye Obama, good riddance.

The ad was crap, and any competent campaign would have responded with something like, "We regret to see that the rival campaign has sunk to such a level. It is a blatant attempt to distract from the issues and we will not respond to it for that reason", or some other poli pablum.

Instead, Romney's bunch went out and totally blew it. This should have been an easy one for them and yet they seem to have learned nothing from all the years he's been on the trail.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Romney's headquarters watching them all run around with their hair on fire every morning; the Obama campaign seems to be just toying with them at the moment.

i know you're referring to his campaign staff, but what about the man himself? it could be argued (certainly by a psychologist) that he's been running for president since the day his father lost. but let's not get caught up in that.....romney's been running for president since at least 2006. it's hard to believe he's having this much trouble with basic messaging.

but yeah, his staff is a mess. maybe the problem is that he built a team to win the republican nomination and not the general. i think i posted on this or another thread, that this might be the most incompetently run presidential campaign in decades.

    agreed.

but i think we have to consider the possibility that the super PAC put it out there knowing full well it was crap.....just to send a message to the romney gang that this time it's going to be different.

Which might be why his latest advisor pick is causing his neocon foreign policy team to break out in hives:

Zoellick pick roils Romney campaign | The Cable

This bit from the link is frigging hilarious:

"The chief complaint among critics is that Zoellick, who served as deputy secretary of state under Bush before being appointed to head the World Bank, is a foreign-policy realist"

Clearly a "realist" is a socialist masquerading as a RINO. Surreal.

I'm not so sure. Perhaps they put it out there knowing it was crap as bait but I bet the Obama team are sitting with their jaws on the floor watching how inept and excitable the response has been.

Add Rush Limbaugh to the growing list of conservatives who are completely shocked by Team Romney’s latest move to defend itself by touting Mitt Romney’s Massachusetts health care law.

Limbaugh’s criticism came just hours after political observers of all stripes were stopped dead in their tracks by Team Romney’s defense against a Democratic super PAC ad that all but accuses Romney of facilitating a woman’s death after Bain Capital shut down the steel mill her husband worked at, thereby denying the family of health insurance.

Rush Limbaugh On Romneycare Defense: A ‘Goldmine’ For Obama | TPM2012

Erick Ericksson of Redstate.com went a bit nuts:

Andrea Saul made this the big story of the day. She is hurting Romney. She is an official voice of the campaign. This was an unforced error of monumental idiocy and the blowback is deserved, appropriate, and — most importantly — absolutely necessary.

Conservative Blog & Conservative News Source for Right of Center Activists | RedState

And Coulter is squawking on Hannity for Saul to get sacked:

There’s no point in you doing your show, there’s no point in going to the convention and pushing for this man if he’s employing morons like this. This ad is the turning point and she has nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! She should be off the campaign.

nearly 2/3 of americans think romney should stop stonewalling.

That's not innuendo, that's an observation by a regular guy whose life was eaten by events, and one of those events was Bain Capital closing the plant and relieving him and her of their abilty to obtain insurance thanks to Bain capital, which, not that it matters, Romney was CEO of. Bill Burton former Obama White House asst. press sec., now head of the super pac in question, said Mr. Soptic's story is important and "let the voters decide".

Ed Schultz said, "We're not going to deny this man his opinion."

So there we have it. They are saying emotional illogical sentiments are legitimate and it's perfectly reasonable to use emotional illogical sentiments to pose an argument in a national debate. How can we go any further into Bizarro World?

This is an example of the extreme nature of the left's equality argument and their self-esteem argument. According to them I should patiently listen to anyone about anything so that they feel better about themselves. In fact I should listen to their illogical sentiments and I should acquiesce in allowing their illogical sentiments to influence a presidential election.

Why should I allow myself to be bullshitted by contorted double-talk mumbo-jumbo into accepting such nonsense?

So Romney is a felon, a racist, a tax cheat and a murderer according to Barack Obama surrogates and President Obama has said he will not apologize for what his surrogates have said.

This is where President Obama has taken the country.

Hi, I'm Mitt Romney. President Obama and his surrogates have called me a felon, a racist, a tax cheat, and a murderer. He has said he won't apology for what was said. This is where the president has taken this country. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are right there with him. Look at how it is tearing the country apart pitting citizen against citizen in the ugliest of way. Tell Barack Obama to stop. Tell Barack Obama this is not what you voted for.

You think they care? They only want to retain power.
If they do you will see your democratic freedom eroded before the next election, soon, you'll never be able to remove them.

Awesome New Romney Ad Slams Obama For Lack of Moral Character

"President Obama cannot run on his record, so he is committed to tearing down Mitt Romney. His campaign tried to use the tragedy of a woman's death for political gain. Then, his top campaign aides were caught lying about it. Doesn't America deserve better than a president who will do anything to stay in power?"

Finally, Mitt has taken off the gloves!

This race to the bottom in campaigning ultimately benefits the democrats- they just plain have more ammo. The RW noise machine is desperately trying to find a new swiftboating formula, but to no avail. The electorate has wisened up to it, and the RW dirty tricks brigade in general.

That accolade has unquestionably been earned by the GOP, starting with the thuggish, lowbrow campaigning tactics it adopted, and sealed by it's utterly incompetent fiscal and economic record. Given the grim realities, about all the GOP has left is to sling mud at an electorate already caked in it.

The Citizens United decision (an utter disaster) however allows the Democrats to retain a slightly less sullied image than the rethugs, because SuperPac's can do the same dirty work for them- and they just plain have more mud to throw. Yes, I can see why the bully boys in the GOP are squealing like stuck pigs- because the mud being thrown back at them sticks.

At the end of the day, the GOP is standing before the people of America and asking for their vote by not just defending, but extending the disastrous fiscal policies of the Bush administration. Most of the US is middle class- and they are trying to tell these people that the USA is best helped by taking over $2,000 from the wallets of the middle class, driving the US government even further into debt, and taking all that money and putting it into the pockets of the 1%?? What a laugh.

We could become Ditto Heads, Romneybots, Fox followers and Neo Cons, for one thing. But in what way are the man's sentiments illogical emotion. If one's business model is to purchase companies for the purpose of liquidating them and the jobs and insurance they represent, and one takes the credit (and millions of $) for doing that, then it doesn't seem like and illogical sentiment to let that person take the credit for the human repercussions.
