BM, your link seems to require registration to read it.

Anyway, it's Rasmussen. His stuff is about as valuable as a poll of Daily Kos contributors.

You gotta have a photo ID to take a shit anywhere in the world so what's the beef with having to have one for voting, eh?

Unless, of course, yer stuffing the ballot box with dead and illegals...

Well Dim Mitt will be starting up a four day bus tour into some of the swing states after his failed attempt as a statesman overseas recently: Romney lines up bus tour of swing states

Lets see what Mitt the Twit faces,……..

The crucial battleground states number about a dozen: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Taking the polling averages used by Nate Silver in the New York Times, the president is ahead in 10 of the 12 vital states. If those polls were borne out on Election Day, Obama would coast to victory with 332 electoral college votes. Only 270 votes are needed to win the presidency.

Awarding Obama only the states in which he now leads by 3 percentage points or more in the polling averages still sees him safely home.

By that measure, as of last Friday, he would win 8 of the 12 battlegrounds, for a total of 290 electoral votes.

Romney victories in Florida, Missouri, North Carolina and Virginia would leave the Republican marooned on 248 electoral votes.

Obama wins: Swing states give Obama the edge - The Hill - covering Congress, Politics, Political Campaigns and Capitol Hill | TheHill.com

Now over to the KKKarl Rove site: Election 2012 | Karl Rove

    Some simple math:

    Obama with leans 179 + 101 = 280

Dim Mitt the Twit with leans and all of the toss-ups (which he will not get) 111 + 71 + 76 = 258

Simple deduction, Obama wins second term.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Nothing if it's free and easy to get. If it's not free then it's a poll tax and the 24th Amendment would like a word with you.

Well the Twit has his work cut out for him if he plans to change the poll numbers. Dim Mitt is only visiting 4 states but there are 12 swing states.

A new poll out this morning: http://mobile.nationaljournal.com/20...rcent-20120801

    Florida
Obama leads Romney in the Sunshine State, 51 percent to 45 percent.

    Ohio
As in Florida, Obama leads in Ohio by 6 percentage points, 50 percent to 44 percent.

    Pennsylvania
Obama holds a double-digit lead over Romney here, 53 percent to 42 percent, fueled largely by a dominant, 22-percent advantage among self-identified independents

And about Florida where Dim Mitt is visiting during this bus tour, lovely time of year (August) to be in Florida. Wish I was home and was able to meet him. I would ask him,…….where the returns?

    a very good chance, eh?

    what is that based upon?

    a hunch?

i'd be really interested to read how you see romney taking nevada or oregon, for example. have you even looked at the internals of the polling data about these toss up states, or again....is this just a hunch?

    *********************************************

and btw, let's take a moment to reflect on romney's disastrous international fund raising trip.

openly mocked and scorned in the UK

confirmed that he's a rank amateur in foreign affairs who doesn't know the first thing about nuances and intricacies that weave together to make up that part of the world

but i suppose comparatively things did go pretty well in poland... besides his press aid losing his shit.......but c'mon.....let's be honest, the only good think about that stop on the trip was the photo op with lech walesa.....a former union leader.

so this is what it's turned into for romney---touting photo ops with former union leaders.

    ouch.

now then, let's get back to those unreleased tax returns, shall we?

Harry Reid: Bain Investor Told Me That Mitt Romney 'Didn't Pay Any Taxes For 10 Years'
"You guys have said his wealth is $250 million," Reid went on. "Not a chance in the world. It's a lot more than that. I mean, you do pretty well if you don't pay taxes for 10 years when you're making millions and millions of dollars."
Harry Reid: Bain Investor Told Me That Mitt Romney 'Didn't Pay Any Taxes For 10 Years'

Mitt's pappy, a wealthy man, released ten years of tax returns when he ran for President. Mitt just plain can't, because he has been lying. If that wasn't the case, he would release his returns- given the enormous political damage it is causing him. His overseas 'like a president' visit was, to put it politely, an unmitigated disaster.

What a silly egotistical man, running for President. Anyway, his campaign is pretty much in tatters as it stands.

Quite funny actually, Obamas presidency can hardly be called a success but he's more than likely going to win by a landslide in November. If only the Republicans had got with the program and voted Ron Paul as their candidate..........

This is what letters to the editor read like:

    Dear Editor,
Rush Limbaugh once called Liberalism a mental disease. The more I see Liberals continue to ignore the realities of what economic disasters Obama has precipitated on America, the more I am inclined to agree with Rush. How can anyone be surprised at high unemployment rates and climbing debt when Obama continues to sick his governmental agencies on businesses and threaten to increase capital gains taxes! Obama has done more harm to this country by lying his way into power than all the enemies this nation has faced since its inception in 1776! Obama criticizes Romney for being successful while Obama squandered trillions lining the pockets of his friends on unsuccessful solar, algae oil, electric car projects while sabotaging our gas, oil and coal resources!

^those pretty charts don't tell the whole story.

Although Nevada's unemployment rate is 11.6%, more than one in five people, in the Silver State, do not have a full-time job. The U-6 unemployment rate is a broader measure of unemployment that includes people who have stopped looking for work, and part-time workers who want a full-time job. Nevada's rate is the highest in the nation at 22.1%. Those numbers are continuing to improve, but very slowly.
Job growth, in the Silver State, is basically flat. The unemployment rate hasn't changed in two months, and the "actual" jobless rate is down just .2% through the second quarter. That means there are still many discouraged workers in Nevada.
And in the real world inhabited by Scott Pickard and many others no longer counted as jobless, actual unemployment is far higher. Pickard, 49, of Tigard, lost a human-resources job in early 2009, exhausted his unemployment benefits and moved in with his mother in February.

Pickard scrapes by. He earns a few bucks coaching other jobless people on interviewing skills. He falls into a broader government measure, called the U-6, of under- and unemployed people.

Some label this figure, a whopping 19.6 percent in Oregon during the year that ended March 31, the real unemployment rate. Oregon's "U-6" rate is fourth highest in the country, behind Nevada, California and Michigan. It's far above the national 16.5 percent U-6 level.
Those are the hard facts, Jack!

Let’s, cause the American public would like to know

Do you think presidential candidates should publicly release several years of tax returns, or is releasing only one or two years of tax returns necessary, or don't you think it is necessary for presidential candidates to release any of their tax returns?

    Florida (Several years) 53%
    Ohio (several years) 51%
    Pennsylvania (several years) 54%

You could have made your post look even better by breaking down the report period down to weekly.

Fact remains,……..shortly after that dangerous crazy republican Bush left office unemployment started to improve, in spite of congress obstructing Obama.

    question to you remains unanswered,........

Heh...and the jobless rate will still be too high come November. Mitt Romney, a natural-born leader, will take full advantage of that fact.

BTW, here's a Romney Quote of the Day:

John Sununu sums up the 2012 race with a single observation:
“Obama gets endorsed by Hugo Chavez and Mitt Romney gets endorsed by Lech Walesa.”
The choice couldn’t be more clear....

Yep all them lovely charts and graphs don't change the fact that a heap of folks out there are out of work and are pretty disgusted.
The U6 jobless rate reflects that the situation is indeed much worse than is being represented by the current unemployment rate.

And after a four year of tenure, the man left holding the bag isn't GWB this time.
    That's just a fact, Jack!

GWB is out cruising his mountain bike with wounded vets and others.
Blame Bush doesn't play well this time.
    That's just a fact, Jack!

No matter how the POTUS tries to spin it .02% job growth doesn't amount to a substantive success worthy of re-election.
    That's just a fact, Jack!

This is but one chart that cites the facts:

How fast is the federal deficit rising? In every second of 2011, the federal government spent $41,210 that it didn't have.

No agenda. No party line. Just facts. More facts at Face the Facts USA. A project of The George Washington University.

Barack Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression.
Barack Obama owns the largest four deficits in history.
Barack Obama added $5 trillion to the US debt in just over three years – another record.
The GDP is sliding each quarter – this last quarter the GDP slid to 1.5%.

Well, the Lib media won't admit that Romney is correct that Culture matters. When Mitt was in Israel and made the statement that the Jewish culture was superior to that of the Pali's, man, did the Lamestream Media have a fit! It seems that Liberals don't want to acknowledge that a culture of celebrating Life just might be superior to that of a culture of celebrating death as the Pali's do, eh?
