Call them. Phone lines open 1-3 PM Mon and Wed only.

Schedule appointments for September. Only appointment times offered are 0745 or 0845. Not real convenient for folks who live 2 hours away.

Our Passport fees specifically are $125. They charge an additional $50 for the admin fees, all the copies, forms etc even though we are required to bring all the originals and copies plus passport pictures in with you. Not sure what that "other" $50 is really for....

One of my own pet hates, actually.....because a nice CONSISTENTLY hot shower is one of the very few things I expect from home life.

That and a bit of peace and quiet on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon, around mid-afternoon nap time. Which is often when the local fuckwits decide to use lawnmowers, leaf blowers, hedge-trimmers etc.

The damage it must do to the ears of the cheap immigrant (legal or otherwise) laborers who are the only ones desperate enough to get near those fvckin' things. Now, of course, there is the additional worry of a 1000 year drought which may solve the problem of leaves in a more permanent fashion.

All they do is blow shit around to make it look cleaner versus ever really picking anything up. Lazy MF's IMHO. Pick up a rake and broom like we used to do it. Most of the Hispanics wear hearing protection now, they come with the blowers when you buy them.

Here in Northern Cal they have a "Green Team". You put all your yard clippings and such out in the street and this cool tractor(wouldn't mind that job btw) comes and picks it up and they mulch it all and toss back on the sides of freeways as ground cover and fertilizer. Of course this explains my $55 a month garbage bill. Someone has to pay those guys $100K a year salary they make doing that job.

On a side note, EGO makes a 56V electric blower and they are really quite nice. I bought one for TL to police up the dirt and dust underneath our house. Wife really likes it. I showed her she can also use it as an extremely effective hair dryer as well. (That didn't go over well for some that might attempt that)
