Got home from work to a letter saying the electric in the village will be off from 8am to 3pm on Saturday because of maintenance.
Frantically trying to book a dog welcome hotel in BKK or Pattaya for the weekend.
Admittedly quite far but pet friendly and an amazing place.
Google Maps
We had 8 hours without power on Feb. 4th.
Because of development on the nearby intersection.
A Sunday, ffs.
Had to have a pie each because they'd defrosted.
Oh well, at least we didn't get 'frantic'.
^ you didn't have transport into civilisation and a restaurant? and a watering hole
Actually, civilisation stayed right here.
Gas cooker, so got some veg and gravy going too.
Anyway, I hope that frantic booking of a pet friendly hotel goes well, and armstrong's transformation into Reese Witherspoon comes off.
This place is nice and in a great location. Nice pool with a big dog friendly air conditioned sitting room on the roof. Dog bed, bowls, pee pads, and food are included.

What's going on? I thought February was low season for Europeans, but all return flights up to second week in March fully booked so I can't extend my stay. Well, not unless I pay silly money, which I have no intention of doing. Never happened to me before and especially not in February/March. Worse the domestic flight down to Bangkok is almost full and I have to pay almost twice as much as usual.
I'm jolly pissed off at the moment...
The airlines learnt post COVID that they can take the piss, and have been doing so ever since.
After the airlines begin to enjoy the new profits? Qantas delivers record $2.47bn profit on back of soaring demand and high ticket prices | Qantas | The Guardian
Fat chance.
I was really moaning about the flights being full at this time of year rather than the price increases. I booked well in advance so price wasn't that extortionate but couldn't change return until after I arrived.
Just strange to have full planes at this time of year, wasn't expecting it. Anyway, it means I go back next weekend and return again in May. The return then is cheaper than changing my ticket now, which was a full flex with change of return meant to be free of charge.
^ I have noticed midweek flights are also more busy than they used to be, part of airlines taking capacity out during co9vid that they haven't put back, prices have likewise remained high.
^ This is really confusing... so you're having a three way with Derek and a deaf chick?
That would be less exciting, but probably better.![]()
Just sent a fair size parcel to Mae Lan from Bangkok using Kerry. Only cost 70 baht will go bye plane to Hat Yai.
To fecking cheap not much profit in that.?
workman, tools, blames...![]()

I don't know what it is supposed to be. I just know it does not look right already.
I buying another dustbin for my empties.
Flew back to Germany yesterday, strong headwinds meant a different route, longest I've known at 13 hours. At least I managed a couple of hours sleep.
Had to leave wife in Thailand to get the car sorted out. 4WD warnings on the Pajero sport. Garage keeps saying it's wiring caused by rats but if that's the case why does the warning not appear until driving for 20 minute? Sounds more like a sensor problem to me...anyone any ideas?
Jeez it's cold coming back to snow on the car after 39C in Thailand!
Thanks for the help Betty, your not invited to the pub .
