So it seems that EVA air pilots have just voted for strike action starting 6th February, I am due to fly on the 11th February fecking better not cancel my flight.
Was convinced into committing a ren-day-voo two days ago that I shouldn't have ren-day-voo'd.
Now feel wretched like it's Covid again and back to bed for the afternoon. :/
I thought you’d sworn off fucking around given your last scare?

So me mate.... ummm, Derek, yup Derek, was out cycling, around 15km from his villa and stopped at a mom n pop shop for a Coco Max. Went in and reached to open the fridge door at the same time as a very attractive young woman. Giggles ensued from both parties before I, before Derek did a big exaggerated curtsy while opening the fridge door and holding it open for her.
A laugh and oddly enough some sign language was returned, to which I, to which Derek returned with some made up sign language, which brought a smile, then I, then he finished with the sign language for I Love You, which brought about a playful hands on hips and Hmph head-tilt, before we, before they walked off to the checkout together.
RIP Test Match Special. Long wave is dead, Talk Sport outbid BBC and instead the only cricket on BBC radio is Aus Women v Saffer Women ODI.
The BBC has been systematically ruining radio 4 by trying to make it more " relevant" to the younger generations. I grew up listening to Radio 4 and it introduced me to a whole host of issues, interests and information I'd never have known, now its transphobia and living as a tranny in a sierra leone coastal fishing village. But the news is being ruined in favour of BBC World service which is a pale imitation of its former self. I barely watch any BBC TV and there is little of interest on any other channels.
I considered cancelling my licence fee about a year ago and I see little to justify my continued payment.
Sad really but the BBC has ruined itself in a rush to save money and remain what it perceives as relevant.
Moan over.
Perhaps you’re part of a dying demographic?
Perhaps but they didn't change the formula for years. i grew up with radio 4, my kids grew up with it, they have likewise noticed the programming is getting more dumbed down and the quality of programming and subject matter it on the wane - probably more a reflection of those in charge and the quality/capability of those producing the programmes. My kids, kids also listen to it with mum and dad.
Do you need a TV licence to listen to BBC radio? Surely not.
^ No, you don't.
They may ask you to create an account and sign in form time to time, but that's it.
BBC Iplayer may ask if you have a license, but just tick 'yes', no problem.
To be honest, I listen to an awful lot of radio on BBC Sounds and would probably get my money's worth out of a license fee... if I paid it. If it became necessary to listen to BBC Radio I would probably pay it.
Check out Dotun Adebayo, Radio 5 Live night shift, it's good stuff, imo.
My moan is that I got pissed up on Ya Dong tonight, came to this thread for my moan, and by the time that I'd answered Nev's post I've forgotten what my moan was.
^ Thank you VC, you've just reminded me what my moan was.
I start a job with a new contractor this week... and I've just spent the entire afternoon doing online HSE courses, mandatory before joining the vessel.
I completed 7 out of 10 courses and the 'Doing Business without Bribery' course alone took 40 minutes.
Apparently bribery is a bad thing, not a normal thing.
Singapore lounge is closed for a refit LHR.
Had to go to the United lounge instead.
Got served a cold freaking meal on Thai last night. The breakfast wasn't much warmer. Bumpy ride during both meals and their newer a350s are cattle carts. Cabin was unusually cold as well with hardly anyone managing to sleep.
Still, I've managed to get to Bangkok in one piece.
Peeps putting YT videos up and getting a profitable living from content that would have got dismissed as boring and irrelevant twenty years ago.
