^ lovely, green sent!
Reminds me of the Pete Townsend Gibson SG (now that's a guitar!).
ok, I just bought a guitar (I knew the Jagermeister would help...). I don't have it in me hand yet, got it from Amazon UK, so had to send it to the UK then on to me. I should have it within the month...
Here it is, in all its beauty:
Vintage LVS6 left hooker.
Very much looking forward to it...
Will probably play it for a wee while before whacking the zebras in it, some Gotohs, and a graphtech nut.
Cycling should be banned!!!
Here's my new guitar in a head to head against top end Epis and Gibbys. I think it holds up well:
There was an Agythis LTD for 50 squids more, and I was half and half, but went for the mahogany in the end...
There may be an issue... In my piss'ed-ness, I made a mistake on my order (sent it to South Korea which they don't deliver to, so now I have half a dozen Amazon emails that I have to try to work out); maybe I'll just buy that lefty Epi locally and whack my zebras in as, as per the initial plan...
^ I was drunk and it was the early hours...
So, I fuked up the order anyways (may or may not come, doubt it will - have deleted the Amazon emails that are asking for a new address.
Then, a friend came round while I was on the phone to guitar shop in Seoul. She speaks Korean, so sorted stuff out: have the shop's bank details, they have my address, they will check the guitar on Monday to see if it's in good shape, if so they will give me a call in the morning, I will send the money (via my instant internet banking) all conformed by midday then they'll send it out to me - arrive next day. One of these:
Sounds like this (ok, he has an expensive amp sent up...):
I believe that we are nearly there. Excited, will be here by xmas.
(actually spoke to another shop in Seoul that have Vintage guitars, but they cannot get a left handed one; can get a left handed epi SG to me by Wednesday, they just need to check the Epi wholesaler to see what's available and at what cost - will get back to me on Monday).
The other option is the G400 in cherry which has better pickups, nice neck inlaws and a set neck, but at 430 dollars instead of 240 dollars. Either would do me just fine.

Dear Neo and Other Shifters,
The end (or may be better to say culmination of my effort...) is nigh. I think you're gonna be liking the results.
More pictures, real pictures, coming soon...
Dear Botty,
looking forward to the piccies.
Meanwhile, here's one i made earlier.
Dear Bettyboo,
Merry Xmas.
Love & Kisses, Bettyboo
Box looks interesting, bit grubby, but... It has the Samick Indonesian factory stamp on the box; this is good news as that factory is well known for good quality control, good woods and consistency of parts, etc (we will see...).
Basic SG shape. But, after faffing around with the crap bridge on the Ibanez, I'm really pleased with the solid tonepro effort on this Epiphone; just head and shoulders above the gay trem on the Ibanez. The pickups are probably the weak point of this guitar (we will see, the geezer in the video above does alright with 'em...), but I have replacements sitting on the shelf anyways - sexy zeebras...
Nice and simple headstock.
This picture is great because the cheaper Epis are hit and miss with the tuners, various brands and non-branded versions, some can be poor - I have the best possible option on these guitars (they come from 3 or 4 different factories, so you can never be quite sure) which is decent branded Grovers, so I'll have no issues with tuning and playing stability, so that's a big plus - so far, so good...

I just purchased a second hand set of drums Betty including a 2 tier electronic piano stand for my son for 10,000 Baht.
Got sick of the electronic kit and decided to go conventional accoustic and the two crash and ride cymbals alone cost 15,000 baht.
Good sound and I am happy bashing away at home.
^ great stuff, LT - music is good...
It'll also give you something to do when the Indians take the series 2-3 and you're all depressed...
The great thing about SGs is you can dress up - I'm obviously gonna take it one stage further, but this geezer does alright as a starting point...

Can you even play the fucking guitar Betty?
I think you are missing the point here Necron
Can you fokkers at least upload some of your noi, erm music?
To be in The Shifters, one does not need to own or play any instrument.
This has not stopped the band from becoming bigger than The Rutles almost overnight.
