I got a small cut on finger just above the nail before taking a shower in a hotel in Korat, next day it was infected. Fought it off with repeated rinsing (hydrogen peroxide) but could never kill it off permanently until I got back to the States and started applying some antibiotic cream twice a day. Finally killed it off but took a small chunk of skin with it.

Also met a fellow who got a mysterious flesh eating ailment on his arm that sent him off to the UK for treatment and has a nasty scar to prove it.

Some nasty shit floating about in Thailand, even in the "clean" water.
