But Chin, you forgot the other part of my sentence. So, what does blind idealisation, or even idolatry lead to? Hmmm, Dubya?

That's an unfortunate and embarrassing part of our history. Please note we will be sweeping the past 8 years under the rug never to be seen again.

What part of Lady Thatcher's accomplishments have to do with so-called 'blind idealization'? It is what it is and if y'all can't appreciate what she did for the UK, you're sadly delusional...

Heh...I'll forgive that dig since we were somewhat instrumental in your success with them Argintines! e.g. satellite imagery and all that...

Yeah, that really helped. After all the sneaky argies may have towed the falklands somewhere else, then we'd never have found them

Jesus, I was hoping she was dead just so that Fox News would return to its comedy rather than going on and on about Saint Tony Snow.

Why do you suppose London was nicknamed "The Smoke"?

Because of the horrendous combination of thousands of coal fires sited next to a river. Fortunately the Clean Air Act of 1956 sorted it out. The Great Smog of 1952 killed more than 4,000 people.

she was a disaster for the UK, eventually things would have got better without her intervention, so giving her credit for anything she did is over the top IMO

Without her, you guys would have fully joined the EU, and be happy campers like the rest of us,

Hey whoopie do, the two timing pentagon did not lock us out of the NATO satelite feeds. Duplicitous American ambassador to BA told the Argy Bastards that the Brits would not move without US say so. You did fuck all to help when we needed you and now you have the nerve to say you sent us a picture.

Only time in 100 years the yanks have been successful on their own was when you invaded a crown British territory. How big an army did Grenada have again?
