That was the line in the news so they must think they have something.
I grew up watching the guy and it would be a shame if all of the charges are true.
I googled and found the answer.Originally Posted by Pragmatic

Rolf Harris Charged
Rolf Harris charged with indecent assault on girls
Rolf Harris has been a fixture on British TV screens for more than 40 years
TV presenter Rolf Harris has been charged with nine counts of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of children, police have said.
Mr Harris was first arrested in March by officers investigating historical allegations of child sexual abuse.
Six offences relate to the indecent assault of a girl aged 15-16 between 1980 and 1981 and three relate to a girl aged 14 in 1986.
The indecent images of children were alleged to have been made last year.
Mr Harris, 83, of Bray, Berkshire, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 23 September.
Alison Saunders, chief Crown prosecutor for London, said: "Having completed our review, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr Harris to be charged with nine counts of indecent assault and four of making indecent images of a child.
"The alleged indecent assaults date from 1980 to 1986 and relate to two complainants aged 14 and 15 at the time of the alleged offending."
I thought that originally he was questioned over incidents back in Oz?Originally Posted by Begbie
I have reservations of painters being hysterically accused on charges like this, if it involves the creation of images of children who do not, in the literal sense, exist.
By way of example......
Obviously, if its a self-portrait of him vigorously butt-fucking a kid (one in which you don't know what it is till the last brush-stroke), then thats a different matter.
^ Yep.
People who take naked pictures of their kids (in the old days good for use in embarrassing them later in life when bring out the family photo album) are in breach of this law as well. Then of course you get those who go another step and upload them to their facebook accounts (or indeed TD) in all innocence, but unwittingly committing what is now regarded as a 'serious offence'.
All a result of the hysterical 'there's a paedo hiding around every corner' mindset in the west now.![]()

Through all this, i was just hoping that Rolf Harris would not be on the list.
He brought, to me and loads of other kids, at the time an insight into Australia. With his didgeridoo and those great paintings he did.
A bit sad.
I have loads of nekkid photos of my (now adult) nephews, which i was going to bring out at family get togethers etc.
Yeah. Well I don't think people should be too worried about sharing them with family. It's those people who share them online with strangers which is perceived to be the 'problem' in this day and age.Originally Posted by patsycat

"Can you guess what it is, yet?"
I too grew up with Rolf, and was even spurred into learning to swim after this public information ad: Looks creepy now though, considering the allegations against him. Almost Len Fairclough-esque, even.
Oh dear, I might play "Two Little Boys" on my Stylophone as a tribute.
whats intriguing about operation Yewtree, no hi-so's have been done yet, theres lots of evidence to suggest they have done the same, though suspect it would damage the country in a big way.
Depends how one defines 'evidence' .
Nothing alleged about Savile constitutes evidence in the sense it would be admissable or accepted in a Court.
A lot of the so-called 'evidence' in Yewtree won't secure convictions if the defendents contest it. Tittle tattle and unsubstantiated allegations give room for reasonable doubt.
Moon what i meant by Hi-so's was politicians lords etc

Mr Denning's arrest falls within a third strand, relating to allegations against suspects unconnected to the Savile investigation.

Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell was today found not guilty by a jury of child sex offences following a trial at Manchester Crown Court.
The actor (48), whom the trial heard enjoyed a “luxury, charmed life”, had maintained his innocence throughout and was acquitted of 12 serious child sex offences.
He heard the foreman of the jury deliver the not guilty verdicts to a hushed and packed courtroom at the end of an eight-day trial at Manchester Crown Court.
His accuser, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was not in court to hear the verdicts but the “bubbly, lovely, naive” youngster had earlier sobbed as she claimed Le Vell, known to millions of TV fans as the soap’s Kevin Webster, raped her as she clutched a teddy bear.
Her claims were dismissed by the jury after being described in court as “inconsistent, incoherent and unbelievable”.
The actor, from Hale, Cheshire, who has been in the ITV soap for 30 years, faced 12 charges in all - five counts of rape, three of indecent assault, two counts of sexual activity with a child and two of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Le Vell, on trial under his real name of Michael Turner, had maintained his innocence throughout, telling police the girl’s claims were “an absolute pack of lies” and the jury that he was “fighting for his life”.
Speaking outside the court after the verdict, Le Vell said he was “delighted” and it was a “weight off his shoulders”.
He thanked ITV for their “continued support throughout this traumatic time for all of us”. “It’s a big weight off everyone’s shoulders,” he said. “I might go and have a drink now.”
He did not appear in any episodes of the soap during the legal proceedings.
Asked when he would return to the popular soap, he said: “I might have a holiday first. “I’ll have to go and have a chat with my boss.”
