It often 'hangs' for me, but if it hasn't loaded within about 5 secs, I hit the button again and it works ok.

Seems all of us with the big problems are using tt&t maxnet.
Hitting it again doesn't work for me marmite.
On a bad day, it can really crawl.
I use CSLox.

I know you do you flash bastard.
Unfortunately, the ISP I've got is the only non dial up option to me where I am right now.
In order to reply to this post, I had to wait over 2 minutes for the reply box to appear under Marmite's post.
Where are you just now? This might prove to be interesting...Originally Posted by Boon Mee

No problems here.
TOT ADSL, Firefox, Admuncher
If it is hanging on the google ads then does the admuncher stop the waiting ?

Thanks Boon Mee. How's the weather?
You know, my ad blocker sometimes fails with Google Ads now. Don't know why. But, on this page the Google Ad is absent and it loaded right away....
And, I saw my reply almost instantly. Again, no Google Ad banner is displayed.
OK, I just added "googlesyndication.com" to the list of URL filters and now TD is fast.
Sorry DD....

Hot & humid just like my little mooban in LOS.

I'm here in the moo baan drinking too much Chang. Ms. B is calling. Must log off now.
My pages often get stuck on Google-ads, too.
How do you block them on Firefox?
Oddly it's been flying for me latly, posting is almost instant, where as before it allways used to hang on me unless first thing in the morning.
While you've been discussing the problem Buadhai, I've been digging up some old threads on TV that were about TV running very slowly. I recall that the problem there was with "pagead2.googlesyndication".
You could see "waiting for pagead2.googlesyndication" in the status bar of Firefox.
It was this problem that made me find "Adblock". After configuring it to block "pagead2.googlesyndication", TV ran OK.
If you click here you will see a lot of discussions about slowness and "pagead2" and a classic reply from good ole George: "RDN, why do you want to block the ads?? Do you think forum hosting and bandwidth is free?"
Have a look here!
But when I get the "hang" with TeakDoor, it says "waiting for TeakDoor" on the status bar, so may not be the same problem.
Hope this helps, DD and anyone else who has the problem.
You can use the "Adblock" extension or use "Kerio" firewall - it has a similar facility.Originally Posted by stroller
I use to use another program - Admuncher - but I've gone back to the Firefox extension, Adblock.
By the way, I didn't realise there were any ads on TeakDoor because I haven't seen any. None at all.

it all works fine for me, but I do find that maxnet is shite and tends to have real big slow downs.Originally Posted by RandomChances

I know what you are saying DD, but the problem seems to be related to this place as all other sites are loading really quickly while I am waiting for this one to load.
That's what I'm seeing. You could see "waiting for pagead2.googlesyndication" in the status bar of Firefox.
