Anyone else up.
I'm so excited.
So excited because it is Jesus's birthday? You continue to surprise me CMN!
It's almost 12 noon here and we have just got back from church. On the way home we went via a suburb called Bethlehem to get a family snap (including the dog) in front of the towns sign.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.
no, no Memock.
whoever this Jesus chap is, I wish him a happy birthday.
I'm excited because I've got 15 people coming in a few hours and I plan to imbibe a lot of alcohol.
Also i have 3 gifts under the tree with my name on them.

I'll keep the Christmas spirit alive in our village, since noone else is doing so. Caught 3 chickens and was gonna prepare them with a nice stuffing, but my gf has taken over, insisting noone would eat any weird farang food.![]()
So they'll make "Gai Pip", chicken baked in a metal dustbin.
Well, I'll have something to report in the cap's kitchen.![]()
where did you catch the chickens?Originally Posted by stroller
have you been poaching?
We got more than a dozen of our own, an experienced neighbour helped catch the birds - it would have made an entertaining You-tube vid, me trying to corner the chickens on me own - they're not daft.
Poaching isn't the thing to do in a small community like this, it backfires very badly. It's better to officialy "borrow" stuff and hope they'll forget about it in due course.
For New Year I'll sacrifice one of the ducks, not inviting anyone, so I'll be allowed to cook it myself.
Gai Ban does'nt roast very well anyway, not much meat and chewey, now a nice roast duck is an other thingOriginally Posted by stroller

we had pork ribs, roast beef, smoked ham.
i bought some smoked salmon, camembert, stilton and some proper bread and made a caesar salad too.
it was a fine spread. and all my kids could do was complain that i hadn't cooked enough noodles and can they have some Quality Street now.
oh well i enjoyed it anyway. i am looking forward to my cigar later.
Just heading to my sisters for some turkey and ham, really looking forward to it,Happy christmas to everyone,
