You don't have to be talented to get 'famous' nowadays. You need to act a bit desperate but not necessary do anything amazing...you don't even have to write your song or sing properly. All you need it seems nowadays is a PR / Publicist / Agent, someone like Max Clifford, who is very influential. He keeps his clients in the limelight regardless of what they are doing at the time due to his contacts.

But it's growing tiresome. Reality television has seriously cheapened celebrity big time. Real celebrities with talent needn't worry though.

Here's some examples. I'm sure Thailand has its equivalents, and I bet they are even more irritating.

Kerry Katona, she 'sang' with Atomic Kitten a good few years ago. Now a reality tv star showing us round her house several times a week....forced down our throats by Max Clifford and his team of publicists.

Katie 'Jordan' Price, I don't even know what she originally did. But it sure wasn't talented. Oh yes, breasts, hideous ones at that.

Peter Andre. formerly hitched to the above. She cheated, he got upset and now he's on about ten tv channels telling us how good a father he is and bursting into tears.

Pippa Middleton, sister of newly wed Kate, Duchess Of Cambridge. Apparently she 'accidentally' bent down while she knew the worlds cameras were on her arse while wearing her wedding dress, and the sun newspaper latched on to it. Cue her picture being forced down everyones throats, if you read the sun that is. But, she's an events manager whose business will now increase tenfold, she knew what she was doing. But after all these months since the wedding, a pattern has emerged, and we're now bored of it.

Cheryl Cole, formerly of the vocally challenged band Girls Aloud. She married Ashley Cole, he cheated, she went solo, got panned for miming on all her Tv appearances, including X-Factor, where she was employed as a judge. She's managed to avoid playing 'live' for so long that her public will surely suss her out as the fraud that she is...

I could add many more names but I don't need to, you lot all can add a few of your own here. Not just British, if you like.

Pat, apart from Pippa Middleton I have never heard of these "famous" people you mention. Jordan rings a vague bell and I think she was a page three girl but it must have been a long time ago.

I had a few minutes of fame starring in a few Thai Tv ads in 2003/4. They liked the luuk kreung looks which I soon found tiresome, every [at][at][at][at] on set felt they had to say I was ''lorr mak'' (handsome).

But I never went round expecting to get into clubs for nothing or disappeared up my own arse.

BTW, I don't watch reality TV but in the UK we have 40+ free channels and when you flick through you always come across several reality shows. Also the newspapers are in on it too.
