How do you know it's just a troll? From my experience many Brits actually think like this. Read Stickman's article. He brings up the subject and he's not even an American. I have experienced it first hand on several of my trips to Thailand. There are many Brits who seem to have a big problem with America/Americans. I can be sitting at a bar just enjoying a beer and some Brit will go off about this and that when they discover my nationality. The US tried to bomb North Vietnam into oblivion which eventually brought the NV to the peace table but did nothing to break the resolve of the NV or the Viet Cong. In fact, the majority of Americans, not just poovie hippies, were fed up with the war and the lies being told. Nixon had no choice but to try and bring the war to some kind of solution short of victory. Fact is, South Vietnam was corrupt to the core and no amount of American intervention could prevent it's eventual collapse.
