I always like a game with an American. they are always very genial, in my opinion.

Not entirely true. But who fled Vietnam first? The French or the US?

Again, you are trying to impose today's standards on something that happened 65 years ago.
Think about what happened during that period.
Stalin killed 10 to 20 million of his own people.
Hitler had 10 to 15 million Jews killed.
Japan invaded and occupied Korea and forced thousands of women into being sex slaves.
It was a different time where survival was paramount. You are treating it as a training exercise.
I am not going to vouch for this site, since I have not done the necessary research, but it says that 9 million Chinese civilians died during WWII. The only country attacking China was Japan. 9 million vs the So maybe you need to stop being so holier than thou.
WWII: The Casualties
The one site I checked said that a combined 400,000 people died as a result of the atomic bombs. Both the day of and in years after.
Edit:
Here is an interesting read

:)
Do you mean fled?
The Vietnam war started in 1954. The US. essentially took over the advisory role from the French, who were leaving Vietnam after their defeat at Diem Bi en Po in 1954.
Actually the US. withdrew in 1973.
In 1975 we evacuated some embassy people and advisory personnel.
One thing you have to realize is that Vietnam was essential lost because the US government bowed down to some poove hippies that eventually birthed the PCP group of today.
If the US government spent the same amount of time focusing on winning in Vietnam as they did people pleasing we would have seen victory early on.
Instead they deemed outhouses important targets rather than Russian missile sites that were under construction and other military targets. The emerging PCP'ers swayed the government to tie the hands of the military. They micromanaged the Vietnam War and that was the end of it.
BTW I would wager that one "lost" (if you must call it that) war pales in comparison to all of Frances military losses.
But lets look at the numbers the NVA had over 1.5 million killed in action and the US had a tad over 58,000.
So who won the war? :)

These stupid war arguments could go on forever, what's the point? ...Nobody ever sees eye to eye which is why we have war in the first place and, on a much smaller scale, endless war on this forum.
'My country is better than your country, you lost the war not us' - jesus, I thought I was immature!
Because it is interesting to get the opinion of others.
Ironically, there's one man I idolize and respect to the heavens and he (was) a Merkin. If you can get past the 1 minute HBO intro, this is an excellent watch. He was a truly great American man who told it like it was.
