You just need to buy a couple sets of muay thai/boxing hand-wraps (less than 300 baht at any sporting goods shop)- they're great for tying them down, and they're reusable- yeah, they're a bit more pricey upfront than gaffer's tape, but you'll save loads of baht in the long run.
