Wasps/Hornets . . . nasty bits of work
Meet Desmond.
He's a farm cat of 22 years. Up until he was 20, he still looked like a lithe and very fit young cat of 10. Often my friend would not feed him so that he would keep the rats and snakes at bay, but he was always well muscled.
Unfortunately his wife died and he then aged rapidly. Now he's a shadow of his former self, but still manages to jump up onto tables, despite being a little blind. His sense of smell is still acute though....the little bugger leapt at a piece of cheese I held near him and tried to fang me. He gets hand-fed every day now....too old to hunt.
Luckily he has Tess the cattle dog to keep him company and lick him. It's quite funny to watch.

^^^ Be careful of catching toxoplasmosis from that sick old cat, (especially as it's a rodent eater) it can cause schitzophrenia and ADHD, and OCD as well as schizophrenia and suicidal traits in humans. 30% of humans are infected.
You're the cat smoocher, not me pal.![]()
My guess is that it has to do with jurisdiction and ownership/maintenance of the roads. The smaller side roads may be the responsibility of the local government, whereas the main roads are the responsibility of another government body.
The local government may only be willing to pay for the pavement up to the edge of where the main road property demarcation is.
Seems quite silly to leave so many roads in that state. There are many of them in the area where I live as well.
The joys of an un-coordinated contract/sub-contract system,...lotsa little bits of work demanding back-handers.
I was taken back by this (?) in the grounds of a temple out in the countryside of Isaan. No houses within the vicinity so fcuk knows why they had this temple there. The temple wasn't anything to write home about but I thought this (?) was.
