Indeed. We`ll just have to settle for the flat cap and pint of bitter tha nos.

On reflection, those pics look kind of crap next to Tel`s outback sojourn.

I know on this board we have some Adherents for the "Ya Dong" , but I do find much more preferable this Malagasy variant .

Rhum Arrange Lychee - adding several litres of "Curvee Blanche" ( Rhum Dzama infused with pineapple , rambutan and banana ) to a few kilograms of peeled and seeded lychees produces the marvelous concoction below.

this is the second lot of Curvee Blanche being added as the first use of the lychees was consumed during the xmas festivities.

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

Here are a couple of the Mekong at Chiang Kong

I couldn't decide which one to post so both got in

I could have sat for hours looking at the river, it is a pity the town doesn't have much to offer

do they have the "little pig" resturants on the river bank ?
I have spent a great day at one near Mukdahan - sipping whiskey , eating freshly cooked suckling pig and watching the river go by.

it tastes magnificent , and Malagasy Rum is very good - Curvee Noir ( Dzama infused with coconut and Vanilla ) is nicely sippable - but you could opt for Ya Dong
