    Would You and Why?

I'm always amazed when out-and-about in Bangkok at the number of foreign men who are cruising about with a Thai slapper and her kid/s. The kid or kids are all Thai, not a hint of farang in them, obviously the slappers kid from a previous 'relationship'.

Why do so many people accept these damaged goods? They are obviously being used for the financial support they can give to this girl and family.

Would you do it? If so, why? When it's so obvious you are just seen as an 'easy option' to be tolerated because of what financial benifits you can bring to there sorry lives.

There" indicates a place as in, "I live here not there." It is the opposite of "here." "Their" is the possessive of "they", as in "They live there but is isn't their house." Here you want to indicate that the house belongs to them. "They're" is a contraction of "they are", so that to say, "They're over there in their new house" means "They are over at that place in the new house that belongs to them."

You arrived at this conclusion by interviewing the couple or by just looking ?

Some hostile responces were to be expected, an interesting topic that should be addressed all the same though.

    Good thread Noodles.

I am one of these people who have adopted a child from my wfe's previous marriage.

Anyone who knows my wife and I also knows our story and that it was not easy at the start but has turned into a happy ending.

We don't choose who we fall in love with but have to accept the extra baggage when we do, and my wife has shown her appreciation by accepting my daughter from my first relationship here into our family as well as giving me the most beautiful daughter.

At the end of the day a lot of families here do play on foreigners "good heart" strings and use their children to extort money.

In my case it didn't happen but I guess I am one of the lucky few.

You could pose the same theoretical inquiry referencing these situations in Western cultures as well. Would you get the same results or opinions. This type of marriage situation {Wife has rugmunchers already} is probably more common in the UK, Europe, Aussie, and North America than it would in all of Asia. I suppose one wouldn't find it worthy to consider these Western single Moms just as much gold-digging bitches looking to aquire security as their {limited} sisters in Asia.

The OP is obviously a wind up.
For whatever the reason, the real dad isn't there anymore but that shouldn't mean that the slapper should spend the rest of her life without a parter, and the kid/kids should never have a fatherly figure - because it certainly isn't their fault..

^^ Yes some would consider it a wind up, and I know noodles loves to wind people up but this time his question is just and discussion is valid.

Some people here do use their children as tools to attract money from caring and proper people. I fookin hate it but it does happen here and these callous actions should be addressed.

you find the topic of 'why do you western men take in and take care of BGs, prostitutes, and leechers' interesting?

I held you in higher regard than that Noods.

Anyway, as we all know the answers are:

As that 60s chick sung: 'Land of illusions for the easily self tricked'.
    Pyschological needs.
    Desperation.
    Pathetically sad-git syndrome.
