Obama in Thailand? NO it is Abscess

OK, Today is the day that the new PM, Whats his name, like that thing you get on your ass that has to be lanced,, OH Yea, Abscess.
Anyway, today is the day that my wife and others teachers at other govt schools starts to pass out money.
They are going to give every student 600 baht to buy school supplies with, ya know books, Pencils and stuff that they used to pay for now the govt will buy it.
Some folks got 4 kids in school so thats 2400 that will be brought home and papa can go and get at least a couple of bottles of white stuff with the cash, but what happens when the kids come back to school with no new books or even a stubby pencil?

Seems quite the fashion these days for governments to give out money.

Just seems to me instead of making the students pay, it would have been better to have just handed out the books for free, hand out money which is returned when they get the books.
But then there would have been no publicity as there is when you hand out money.

Its just a sweetener to win over the poor. The current government ain't so stupid they dont know most of that money wont be spent on school supplies for the kids.
