I really like it, the user interface is great.

There are other phones that do more but would you use the extra features and how user friendly are they. I've never seen anything that is as user friendly as the iPhone.

The big drawback for me is the SMS application. Although it looks cool and does what it does very well it is missing some key features for me namely, the ability to forward texts, send texts to more than one person and delete individual texts rather than a whole conversation. However early on I found an app called SMSD which does all those things.

I bought it unlocked but upgraded the firmware shortly after I got it and unlocked it myself afterwards. I'm a bit geeky though.

I haven't looked at another phone since so maybe in the year I've had it other things have overtaken it but I can't be arsed to change which is a recommendation of sorts.
That's it. I want one. How much did you pay for it in Singapore?
About 20,000 baht but they were only just out then, they certainly hadn't arrived in the UK at that point. A friend got his from the US and paid quite a bit less but he goes over there quite regularly.

Windows Mobile has been very clunky from the start. Ive had a couple of smartphones from the first SPV to the C600 and more. I quit using them after the C600 as it was too frustrating half of the time. I still have my C600 here but I use one of the most basic Nokias there is which speaks volumes. I love smartphones and loved fiddling around with them but after prolonged use I woudnt go back to them if I was given one for free.
Everything has its drawbacks and faults but Apple seemed to hit the nail a bit closer on the head first time than WinMo did with a few years under its belt. Most people want a phone thats funky, fashionable and useable. Most WinMo's only have the first 2 which is why HTC, who make the bulk of smartphones, have released the G1 with Google. WinMo 7 is now delayed and it couldnt have come at a worse time, the iPhone is the fanboys choice and Android will get a years development at least befoe WinMo 7 comes out.
