A former honorary consul (JS) in Chiang Mai obtained Thai citizenship by being adopted by his Thai wife's parents. So can be done. He is fairly well connected though.

I think you are getting mixed up with mongrels and bastards DD, or maybe mongerals is meant to read, Mongols.

mongrels as in mixed breeds, ie my son is a mixer, but I wouldn't pay money for a mixer dog, ie a mongrel.

I have a theory that much of the attraction for the Farnag to village girls is the gene diversity that the farang brings to the party.
In my wifes village of Ban Chiang the men have been knobbing the village girls for 7,000 Years (and it shows) so apart from the obvious benefit of perceived (in my case) wealth and attractive looks, our creamy white jizz and the consequent good looks of our offspring has got to have massive appeal.

^ my mate (a kiwi) spent some time out in the islands around Kiwi land - because he got lots of sex due to the limited gene pool.

Women out there were desperate for babies that weren't father by island men because of the years of inbreeding.

    polynesians somewhere.

I retract my statements with regard to minors.
Adult adoption is possible although rare.
    Not sure about Thailand though
