So it has a constant velocity carburettor.
If it won't run properly and is getting enough fuel from the tank; it could be that the rubber diaphragm in the carburettor has a hole in it or.... So you'll need a diaphragm kit. ลูกเร่งคาบู + เข็ม HONDA - CLICK คลิก ลูกเร่งคาร์บู
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all
Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.
I'm going with dirty in the fuel line/carb, have you definitely checked airflow or vn suggestion.
^^ Actually, VN, if I just order a new OEM carb, instead of one part and try to swap it out, I presume a new full carb would be easier to install/swap out (and less chance of setting meself on fire).
Cheers.
OK. But it might still be the fuel cock on the bottom of the fuel tank. Disconnect the hoses from it and suck on the top one to create a vacuum and see if fuel flows out of the bottom one.
Then spit.![]()
Last bit for today.
Starts after many, many attempts.
Runs.
Gets some gas (before it probably cuts out by itself)
Cuts out.
Answers on a postcard please.
Still no FAB and a hose pipe , I see.
Is FAB dish or clothes washing powder or am I completely mistaken?I'll take a look in the 7 later cheers. Cleaning it up will be the next thing as I'm not entirely sure what the next mechanical step is.
Will be a lull in action until Wednesday due to landlord duties. Cheers. *wais*
...and by a toilet brush for scrubbing.
You can use your newly acquired 8mm T wrench to undo the 14 screws on the belt cover to have a look inside. Don't attempt to do anything just have a look. The cover might be stuck so tap it gently with a hammer until it sounds hollow then pry it off. Yes there is a gasket but it is only to stop dust so it doesn't matter if it is not 100%
^ Great info, cheers.
I thought there may be oil or something in there so didn't plan to remove it.
Will try to take it off and see wildlife has nested inside, cheers.![]()
Goes without saying that you block the air intake (perhaps a plastic bag stuffed in there) when washing it, and make sure you don't get the air filter wet.
And if you're going to replace the carby, I suggest you use disposable rubber gloves as petrol makes your hands stink for a while. Best to use fuel-resistant gloves, but at a pinch rubber will do...though it GROWS and gets floppy on contact with petrol.
You any good at swapping in new carbs VN?![]()
Just properly clean the old one, replace the plug and filter and you should be good to go.
It's not hard and if you get stuck I'm sure there's loads of YT videos to assist you.
Slightly off topic..years ago I worked in remote mining towns in Australia. And there was a fair bit of infidelity going on.but when you saw a box of OMO on the windowsill that meant old man out. But if you saw a box of FAB that meant. Fucking arseholes back .or so I'm told![]()
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.
I'm behind the times. FAB used to be sold as a paste in small sachets, about 200ml, in village shops. For motorcycle any old detergent will do. Bonus for powdered laundry detergent is that is makes a great hand cleaner as it is abrasive in undissolved form.
