Here's my two testing kits, on my 'I'll get round it it some time' pile, where they've been since last December.

I did my mum and daughter so thought it would be interesting to fill in a few gaps and do myself. I can't actually remember why I paid for two kits because I can't think of who else to test.

    Wasn’t it a 2 4 1 deal.

Still doesn't justify 4 John Craven Tea towels.

    Ah, the yellowed fan.

    We've all been there.

It somehow makes it seem that all the inhabitants of the room get through 30 Woodbine a day.

Sent my one off a week ago.

How long does it normally take for results?

I was told that it's usually quicker for Scots because there's so much less DNA to test, but I have no idea if that's true or not.

    A couple of weeks maybe?

Well my Surname suggests that my line was part of the Viking lineage that made it’s way through Europe first then entered England somewhat connected to the Norman conquest.

If I have English blood in me I’m not going to admit it.

    You’re catching on.

Just cos a dog is born in a stable, doesn’t make him a horse, right?

^ Yes, whatever they are? the Northern Welsh are just a province of Liverpool, the South where my mum came from are quite anglicised, i suspect there is place somewhere in the middle where they coexist with sheep

Yea that is the same with the Chisholms, came from a Norman:

Chisholms were a Norman family who arrived in England after the conquest of 1066.,[3] the original surname being De Chese to which the Saxon term "Holme" was added.

What would be worse for you, Irish, Welsh or English blood?

My eight great grandparents - 4 Scottish, 2 Northern Irish, 1 Welsh and 1 English but Northumberland so I get a pass I guess
