The smugness is almost an emetic.

And that fucking poolside fridge …….gosh, how fucking cool Arizona.

    Jelapusy is so unbecoming.

Otherwise I would be bouncing up and down the road bar hopping between my 2 bars, with a town Hash run/walk thrown in too.

It's good fun down where we are, everyone knows everyone, no tourists, no drama, good vibe, pissed by noon.

Gutted for my kids that I can't be there to have fun with them this year.
I used to really enjoy it when I lived there. I've never really understood the general farang hatred of the occasion.

Beer, food, and birds in wet t shirts. What's not to like?

Lovely quality photos of someone who has turned their dream into reality, A nice positive contrast to some who despite loathing the climate, culture, locals and lifestyle seem drawn to Thailand and Thai forums or is it fora?

Worry not Stumpy as I was advised on my fist nudist beach

    IGNORE THE KNOCKERS

I wasn't alive when it aired, and it only played through the left side of my headphones.

Does Chairman Mao know that photo has been around forever, was taken outside Best Bar on Pattaya Soi 8, and it's a bloke in the pic?

Should be fun Armstrong. Ever try one of those super soaker deals with the backpack water reservoir? Haven't seen one in awhile but pre covid at one of the big roadside parties up here a few had them and they were able to water down people for a long time before a refill.

I think only those with a challenged IQ and all the maturity of a newly born Mayfly might derive some entertainment from the imbecilfest that is Thai Songkran after, say, their third festival.

Fine for one day but as ever the Thai rip the guts out of pretty much everything they undertake and so we have this ghastly week every fucking year.

But, really, are there any farang that gormless they actually think a Thai up country party is “fun”?

Lumpen, gaptoothed, grinning, drunken, barefoot peasants garbed in their provincial uniform of hand-me-downs prancing about to mor lam blasting out at ear bleeding levels until fights break out, old scores are settled, the gambling schools make a killing, the same dreary mob of desperate freeloaders who turn up at every wedding, monk initiation rite and funeral burning, is enjoyable?

Sure, the first few times is interesting as a sociological experience but once you know the script only a fucking idiot would call it a party worthy of attendance.

For those that know Chiang Mai, Zoe appears to have equipped itself in a manner that the Russians would admire for their invasion.

Any c u n t dumb enough to go in range is likely to get a gob and earful of bacteria and rat-piss infested moat water, so I'd recommend keeping antibiotics at hand.

One bar was already kitted out and had cretinous farangs spraying passing traffic on the moat like the gullible little sheep they are. Which is not going to go down well with the people who are on their way to work expecting things to start proper in a couple of days.
Hopefully an obliging Thai will educate them in this regard with a well aimed smack in the kisser.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

Ya know HB. I have been to a couple of those big bar front type Songkran deals in BKk. They suck especially along any of those hooker bar Soi's packed with foreigners.

The most enjoyable ones I have experienced are the country versions. Far more fun. Good family fun. Again few years before covid up here on a road side party They set up big ice water dunk tanks. They threw coconuts at the paddle to sink ya. Was some good laughs.

Time to make like a Duck and fly South for the winter, or their winter at least. Fuck Songkran and the way it's heating up during the days lately, its going to be a scorcher of a next few months in Thailand.

Making martinis with the blue cheese stuffed olives. Hard not to eat one while making the drinks though twice as good after they are soaked.

    Must have one now.
