I'm a bloke. Multi-tasking isn't my forte.

Happy indeed. US passport renewals are long and not easy as its normally 6-8 weeks and you must mail in your old passport along with the new application, so you have no passport during this time. I mailed it off FEB 1 via DHL to the embassy here in BKK. Surprisingly both the old and the new passports turned up today 19 days later. Very happy indeed with the quick turn around.

In the uniformly depressing news a bright note, if the link doesn't work i recommend you visit the BBC site. Some stunning shots but tinged with a bit of sadness, if things keep on as they are all of it will be gone in 50 years i'd imagine.

I'd point out that the closest one is nearly 700km away, but to be honest I don't even go to the 7 anymore. And there are 2 within 300 meters or so. :/
