Guilty by their absence...
The police are well aware of those that sell yaba. A couple of them have been up before the court, but on lesser charges than they deserved.
It seems they want tighter control in our area.

Well, its a positive start, that shit just destroys you.
They quite often have road blocks in the back streets of Bang Na during the early evening. Doesn't look like the usual alcohol stop either as they're all in black and spread out up and down the road.
Luckily they'd never suspect a 40 year bespectacled white guy in a nissan march. I've made a fortune*

I like Toolstation, I also like Dewalt stuff.
Popped in to said shop the other day and bought a combi drill set (brushless drill + 2 batteries +charger and case) all for £130 and along with my receipt they gave me a voucher for next time i spend over £25 on Dewalt, a £25 off voucher. So thats my Thai battery drill updated for £105 at approx 40% of the price you can buy it in Thailand and without having to listent o some Dewalt sales flunky trying to sell me the most expensive drill he can. I also got anoth £25 off voucher .... Hmmm may be a sander too....

After all this terrorism, time for some good news.
Urfan Sharif, who was jailed last month for the murder of his 10-year-old daughter Sara Sharif, has been attacked in Belmarsh Prison.
He is understood to have suffered slashes to his face and body, requiring stitches.
^ He will probably also get the full follow-up treatment later on.
Friday. Been off work for about 3 weeks albeit I WFH but still not much going on with the prime customer as they are on holiday until next week. Weather perfect. Easy life.![]()
^Nice, TGIF!
Also enjoying my two week holiday, no stress - free to be me.![]()
I had a sudden thought today and checked my second passport.
Happy days, since Brexit you only get 10 years from date of issue on a UK passport, you no longer get the months carried over from your previously passport expiry.
This has brought my next passport renewal trip forward by 9 months and I'll have to do one before the end of the year!
This is the only tangible benefit or Brexit that I have so far come across... unless anyone else has any?
Is it only nine months? My understanding is that your passport is good for UK and Thailand into 2026, but not for the EU.
Others will be better informed than I on EU rules. Wot I think:
The EU has 2 rules, one is ten-year validity on the passport and the other six months remaining valiidity. So if you want to go to Germany in November this year, your passport will still be valid and you'll still have more than six months validity, but does it matter to the EU that you'd be past ten years on that passport?
Maybe you should renew before mid-June, just to be sure.![]()
^ I'll be working in Schengen so it will need doing before the end of the year, and also what about transit through EU? This is the passport I use for the endless stamps I now collect for each work trip, thanks to... Brexit.
I won't be renewing in June but I'll certainly be doing a recce mission in the next couple of weeks now that my foot is getting better, just to be on the safe side.
^^ I'm starting to grow weary of these endless 'Cockatoo' references, to be honest. Is it even open at Christmas?

Passport Place has now moved from Trendy to a new location on Rama 9. There is not much action going on there with the beer, brekkie, and birds, but they do have some interesting stones in the carpark if you want to bring your little hammer.
