Had a message from the daughter in LA. "Dad I bought a car a Nissan Rogue SUV", which here is the X Trail. I was happy for her but wondered why she bought a car she has a great job with Apple working remote and her boyfriend has a Subaru. So I asked why. " I am leaving Apple and I need the car to commute to the new job". Thinking what the heck is going on. Turns out she was poached by Space X with a much bigger and better offer that included a signing bonus. So today California time she starts commuting about 18k from home to the headquarters in Hawthorn Ca. Damn proud dad.

Pleased for her and you. The kind of commute you can do easily at that age!
House move if it all works out?

2 for 1 pizzas last night, Food Panda.

One was ham and mushroom, they gave us ham and pineapple.

Which as we all know should be illegal anyway.

Sent a quick photo of the offending illegality and the receipt to Food Panda in a hissyfit of disgust.

They immediately said the whole bill will be refunded to the CC and gave an extra online voucher on top for the trauma caused.

Much better than dealing with vendors themselves. Especially ones that create such illegal culinary creations.

The pepperoni pizza which ended up being free, was superb.

Edith offered to pick off the pineapple and leave the ham but I was having none of it.

    True dat.

I refuse to countenance the order of this on a pizza whenever I'm out. We're talking possible divorce proceedings levels of disgust here for pineapple on pizza.

I recall that headcase was a fan though. No surprise there.

We usually get Duke's if in CM.

They also do a BOGOF deal with 2 toppings on each, iirc. Pretty sure we'd often get parma ham and mushroom on one, and pepperoni and peppers on the other.

Though they may refuse to make this on culinary rights violation.

I think this Emond fellow must sit down to pee if he cannot suffer Pineapple on a Pizza.
Should be a staple on a hamburger as well along with Beetroot.

He's just quite keen to emphasise his Italian heritage.

Which considering he's 75% bogtrotter is understandable.

Question - who out there deciding to retire decided when based upon:

    1. financial circumstances
    2. Just too old
    3. Had enough of work/working
    4. Forced to retire
    5. Decided based upon family medical history
    6. Decided to spend more time with the family
    7. Just lost interest in dealing with idiots
    8. The world moved on and you couldn't keep up
    9. You decided to follow a Japanese hobby to fit in with your OCD.
    10. Saw that you could medically retire with "mental health issues" and get loadsa money from the woke Govt

now i'm not retired yet but its heartening that there are so many reasons to press the "fuk off you are twat button" to your boss, especially when you really don't need the job or the money anymore

    No you aren't

You have an autistic child and that means like all of us that are parents you have a lifetime commitment, retirement really ain't a parental option - i was perhaps ironic, in these times when kids cannot afford a place on their salary we are going to be less than retired :
