    Best of luck Edmond.

Talking of putting together fiddly bits, I've bought an Arduino starter kit so I can give some extra (free) tuition to the guy in the village I helped over New Year. He's been cutting my grass and looking after my dogs since we left so deserves a bit of extra help.

I have a couple of projects he might be interested in doing with me. A home hydroponic garden, an irrigation system and a multi channel intercomm so the MIL can communicate with several areas of the house, garden and entrances. Start off simple but have some good end goals that might help out in the village as well.

Well just after I got my Bloody Mary made up, Delivery guys rings the bell. My new Wave wheels arrived.

Sort of an impulse buy. My front wheel, after 9 years, rusted out and a spoke broke. Rather than fix I decided to upgrade to some aluminum cast wheels. Will sure make adding air a helluva lot easier.

Rainbow big bore exhaust, valve caps, painted nuts....you could easily spend twice what it's worth to stand out from the chickenheads

Yeah I see those Waves around from time to time. Probably got a bunch of Baht wrapped up in the thing. Guess we all have our hobbies.

Just wheels for me. Cheap upgrade and no more spokes and rust.

Waves are great. Go on for ever, easy to fix, everything is cheap and you only need to fill it up once a month

I just returned my most recent drunk purchases to the local Amazon fresh store. Nothing interesting aside from a couple of routers that I did not need, tested both and neither was faster than the router that I already have, so back to amazon.

Oh Yeah. My FIL has a 2003 Wave. Old Carb'd motor. I start it for him every week or so to keep the battery charged and the gas moving. Fires on first kick. Mine is a 2013 EFI. Battery has been dead < 7volts for probably 2 years. Fires right up. I remember when I first bought the thing I would WOT that thing endlessly on the highways. Waited for it to kick a rod. Nope. Doesn't even smoke.

    Got lots of that stuff...
(Taught it as a project at uni to liven up a quite boring engineering theory course...) - got the students to make bluetooth cars to be controlled by their phones; easy enough. I was thinking about adding a solar panel to mine, giving it some core goals, adding a neuro engine and making it autonomous - seeing if it could survive... Haven't got around to it yet, but I have a 4 week holiday coming up so...

Yeah yeah. Everywhere in Thailand there is probably a young Thai guy that could use a wheel upgrade on their ride

That gave me a good laugh Backspit. It's not like I use the Wave for anything other than market and ice runs with an occasional cruise around. Maybe I should get a remote alarm now.

Why steal the wheels when you could steal the entire bike and sell off the parts... The poor little fuker who does steal the bike is gonna be gutted when those 10,000 baht bling wheels can only be sold for 200 baht to his bling motorbike taxi mate.

600 baht, they look good for the price.

What??? Money - NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Supporting the forum, yes, but petty limitations are naive and counterproductive... (I understand server costs, etc, but there are better ways to increase support than limiting people's freedoms).

Does L whoever own this forum now? (Due to being away, I've missed a lot of changes, so am somewhat out in the dark.)
