Ok, but that is still theorizing and having faith, which may or may not be correct.
It's neither theorizing or about faith, and is a fact proven by it's very existence.

The only thing I will take issue with is any claim on your part that what you experience is anything other then a distorted vision of your own private subjective conciousness.

There is no mystical higher truth to the nature of human conciousness.

We are just monkeys with a highly evolved mental faculty that includes recently evolved reflective self awareness.

You can play games with your consciousness using hallucinogens but there is nothing profound to be examined in these experiments or experiences. It is mental masturbation. There is nothing wrong with ontological onanism but don't start telling people that your addled experiences reveal something about the nature of the universe outside your skull.

They are just the mental equivalent of lighting your brain-farts with a box of matches.
Do you ever question, the sources of your attitudes and points of view?
Seems like you're taking an awful lot on blind faith.

Seems to me there are many questions needing answers, to which western culture and education fail to address.
If you think the past 300 years or so of various industrial revolution have been good for the planet and humanity...well we need not go any further.

But if something doesn't rub you right, concerning the extermination of indigenous people, and the subsequent demonizing of native plants and medicines, then the dominant western society has some explaining to do, me thinks.

Western culture and society needs to explain why the raping and destruction of the earth's environment is acceptable in the pursuit of wealth.

Someone needs to explain why it is acceptable for 5 million people to die every year from human air pollution associated disease.
Someone should explain why 2.5 million dead(every year) in motor vehicle accidents is an acceptable price to pay for the convenience of personal transportation.

Most people who have had their consciousness elevated through psychoactive experience or meditations, no longer accept blindly the materialistic status quo.

    What about you Loopy?
Do you blindly accept the suffering around the world your materialistic greed propagates?

You are an insane crackerbrain if you think that the technological, social, political, medical, scientific, moral and cultural progress that has been made in the last 300 years (led of course by western civilisation and filtering down slowly to more backwards cultures) is not good for the species as a whole.

You make me laugh the way you sit back and enjoy your comfortable lives cosseted in all the comforts that all this progress brings to you but which you take for granted (your phone, computer, your health care, your internet connectivity, your global travel options, your car, your house, your bicycle (invented in the 19th century)) and then blithely pan the whole thing as if you hold no truck with it despite leaching all the benfits.

What a bunch of phoney baloney.

So what would you suggest? Be a good little Muppet/Sheep and take the vigorous cultural fucking like a mindless bot?

Or do a little something, even if it's just picking up one piece of trash a day.
Human consciousness won't be elevated overnight, but it is beginning in small ways.

Declaring it 'impossible' is just wrong in many ways.

Point is, while we might have thought that it was good at the time (fair enough), there's been plenty of time since then for all to see that selfishness, greed and consumerism lead only into shit.

I won't go any father outlining the obvious underlying racism, and blind religious faith in western culture and materialism.

I supose you haven't heard of 'zero emissions' or 'renewable energy'.

    Google is your friend Chass!
Don't be afraid to lessen your ignorance.

Don't be too hard on yourself Chass. You are a victim here as well; a product of dumbed down education, and consumer muppet culture.

It all starts with a little bit of awareness and an element of fearlessness.

If you're a pussy, just forget about it and got back to your Dorritos and diet Dr Pepper, or whatever garbage is presently poisoning you.

But your complaint was about the damage caused by road traffic accidents and emissions from existing vehicles. My point is that science, knowledge and understanding will resolve the issues you speak of. Doing drugs and waiting for technology to advance are two separate branches and yours is bound to break.

Apparently by choosing to use this language to describe the native/shaman medicine ritual, betrays that you subscribe to racist drug laws which criminalizes native medicinal plants.
This in turn indicates you are likely a racist, which in turn ends the discussion.

Why in world would I wish to discuss anything with a backwards racist cnut?

Go back to your Doritos and Dr Pepper, be sure to get the "extra nacho" it helps soothe small bigot minds.

If I could ever be tempted to take another hallucinogen again (after not having had any since 1975, so I'm not tempted, really), it would be Ayahuasca. But only in certain conditions.

It's interesting how those shamans can trip with you and heal you at the same time. "Soul retrieval", I think they call it in extreme cases.

ENT would be a prime candidate for that.
