^ A move which will in all likely hood backfire on the stupidity and ignorance of the local politicians.

I ain't one for reading the charts, but it looks like a bear market.

We know now much of the selloff was the Mt Gox trustee coins being dumped.

I see no other serious indicators to panic.

Looks like a good time to buy, which I will do today. I've been maxing out my bx account several days running, I was waiting for this dip.
The time to buy is when everyone else is freaking out!

It's good of you to be so charitable. I get the impression that nearly everyone would like to sell and get out. Many are, and those that aren't yet are praying the slide doesn't continue.

A good many folks who bought BTC back in 2012-2013, panic sold in 2014. They are kicking themselves right now.

The panic sellers right now will be kicking themselves come December 2020.

Dunno. Just been looking at the charts and it could go up. Or it could go down.

And if you squint one eye and hold the chart at just the right angle it looks like a pic of a dog humping a leg. So that might mean something also.

so, ant: in the month you've been in cyrptos (eth, ripple), they're down about 30%.

that's about 15,000 baht of your 50,000 investment, right?

holding with hope that they go back above your buying price and you make a few baht.

or like earl, hodling to the moon?

Well I consulted the charts including this one:

Turns out it's actually an old nautical chart of the Caribbean but I like the pattern and it looks like cryptos could go up.

    Or, shiver me timbers, down.

Good thing I don’t take investment advice from ranting semi-literate loons, innit.

That would be like taking medical advise from someone who drinks their own piss and doesn’t know the difference between a vagina and a urethra.

Not much point in selling now. You either gotta buy more and trust ur research or just throw in the towel and hope things turn around.

I don't really understNd this stuff that much, but it's not going away and some of these coins are gonna take off eventually. I can wait.

I'm betting heavilly on the fintechs.

    That's where the problem lies.
Don't sell when it's falling, wait for it to recover. Don't sell when it's rising, you'll kick yourself for doing it too soon.

a crypto like ripple won't, IMO.

the speculators will leave the crypto markets, the prices will go down (a lot more) and that will be good for the cryptos (stable and cheap).

and then a crypto like xrp will be held mostly by market makers and banks to cover the transaction fees when using the ripple network.

Somebody tell me if I'm wrong, here's my new angle: tokens vs coins.

Coins are stored value. Tokens value are in their utility. So it's in a company's interest to keep a token price cheap, so large numbers and flooding the market will keep the supply large ipso facto price stays low. Ripple won't be mooning again.

Coins operate on a different principle. Low numbers push up value. These days I'm mostly buying coins with circulation under 50 mil. and supply under 100 mil.
    .....maybe i'm wrong..

Only the chains that can adapt quickly will become a store of value

Those that change because of a benevolent dictatorship will fall away because they are centralized and thus have a single point of failure

Decentralized and adaptable is the chain and coin that will sustain.

Bitcoin can not adapt. Forks have proved that. It will die

ETH was never meant to be a currency, this is stated in their manifesto

Most of the billion coin chains that survive will be valued at less than a dollar, as their reason is only for micropayments

I will continue to back the proposal that has this logic on its side

But I think ant will have doubled his money by June 30
