Posting every action a day trader makes is not that interesting. Hearing about his winnings or losses and strategy is tho.
Not to mention a distraction to the trader.

Going by his nik kinda doubt UK is hear to make alot of friends anyway

agree and i'll be clapping for the hodlers of ripple (and others cryptos), if/when they reach new highs (like ripple going from 0.8 back up to 3.4).

I was doing all three for a spell and made some small change trading strictly the keepers like ETH, LTC, DASH, ZEC.
Then came the December moonshot of BTC which made it impossible to keep up, since my trading goal was to generate BTC, (I made about .3 BTC and assorted small change in Alts in a couple months ) That was good enough.

Last few weeks would have been good for day trading I reckon.
So I turned to HODL, and staying.

Day trading must have been pretty boring recently. Just a crab walking sideways.

G20 meeting 19-20 March. Maybe see some action soon.

ripple, eth, stellar, decred all making new lows (since the dec/jan highs) last night.

    ------

the hodlers obviously make up a minority of crypto traders.

though, one has to wonder what will happen to crypto prices if/when the hodlers (hodling for the lambo) bail...

Posting here showing an acceptable win rate after the fact has no influence on the sheep?

Depends what your cost of playing is. To some it might be 0.01% others 1% and even others 5%........

To some "picking up pennies in front of a steam roller" is an acceptable risk.

With the price of crypto plunging, dunno what to do with my next pile of $ that I'll bring over to Bangkok from Myanmar on my next trip at the end of the month.

Yes, I could buy crypto cheap, and hope that the price increases. But I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket.

I could invest in some Thai ETFs - I have a trading account with KTZMICO, fairly safe long-term investment, but increase in value over the years will probably only offset the effects of inflation.

Bangkok banks don't provide any decent interest rate for foreigner savings (AFAIK). Myanmar banks offer 10% pa, but not to foreigners.

I think foreign tourists can fly in and open interest-bearing accounts in Cambodia...

What to do? any suggestions where to put 300,000 THB for a reasonable interest rate?

    BTC! To the mooooooooooooon!

Dunno. My guess - and let's face it that's all most are doing - is that we're due a recession following the market boom and then correction so I'm starting to focus more on cash investments: term deposits and that sort of thing.

Is it cheap? One btc to one dollar would be cheap. But not very cheap.

What's this news that I heard yesterday about Thailand going to tax crypto at 15%?

Does that mean if I cash out on bx.th, then 15% tax will be deducted?

Taking a cue from Facebook, Google too has decided to ban all advertisements for crypto-currencies and related financial products on its online properties.
The policy will go into effect in June 2018 and includes ads pertaining to initial coin offerings, crypto-currency exchanges, wallets, and trading advice.
The ban is part of a new financial products policy, that Google announced March 14 and applies also to advertisers that offer so-called Contracts for Difference, financial spread betting and certain kinds of foreign exchange transactions.

Cant you get a joint account with a local set up either in Thailand or Myanmar? Sounds like a local wife is required. Cost of wife v return on investment.

Is that from purchases using proven funds or "hidden" funds sources?

Fred, you look at that chart and think eth could maybe (50/50) be about to go on a bull run?
