You're using minority examples to argue against the majority. On the whole Thais aren't very confrontational IMO. That doesn't mean to say they aren't pissed inside, they just have a cultural propensity to keep it in.
Now that doesn't for one second mean that a pissed up country bumpkin won't slit another's throat for spilling his beer, but that can hardly be used to make accurate generalisations. As accurate as generalisations can be anyhow.
