Just drinking a nice iced lemon grass tea whilst lounging around my shared pool.
I quite like Franziskaner PH. Excellent chilled and poured into a tall chilled beer glass.
Well Friday it is..Warm one today... This is another nice Hefe-Weissbier.
Of course you are, well done you and thank you for the details you've shared!
I don't drink enough beer (that should set off our gap-toothed midget again) to have any beer glasses . . . I bow to your superior brew-style.
German lends itself to sound . . . different . . . in what other language could a car manufacturer put a simple mechanical word like compressor and make it sound so very impressive:

Yes . . . far too many times . . . surrounded by bloody Anglos everywhere!!!. Some are funny, some aren't . . . but the German word for 'daisy' is cute when translated . . . 'Little goose flower'.
It's also regional, we don't have a harsh 'ch' (phlegm irrigation) in my region . . . that's pretty much Dutch and Swiss . . . but we have the Saxons whose pronunciation is cringeworthy.
You forgot to mention the penchant in German to simply add word after word after word to make a really long one, like Kraftfahrzeughaftpflichtversicherung . . . or Car insurance.
Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübetr agungsgesetzg . . . a simple law about beef.
So many more . . .![]()
^^ Which reminds me of that old joke - what do you get if you cross a german and a pig? A Dutchman!
What do you get if you cross a dutchman and a pig? A South African!
We are not massive drinkers either but a good beer goes well with good food
The tops near us stocks some great beers; Beer Lao Dark next!
Kirin's are definitely better from a can in Thailand.
I rarely drink beer but had a Kirin yesterday with my teriyaki steak. Nice beer it is.
^^^^^That has given me a hankering to find some quality Japanese/Korean beer
I remember loving the stuff when I visited. Really malty flavoured lager. The best stuff came in gold cans in each country but had names that I did not recognise from western bottle shops imports.
Talking of Japs, DW-K had a brace of mighty Mitsubishi A6M Rei-sen/Zero/Zekes in his sights this evening
This fearsome icon started the war as the most potent carrier-capable fighter in the world but technological advances during the long campaign saw the newer allied aircraft leave the Zero behind in firepower and manoeuvrability
Started with a few free Tigers.
Then the rain came down, so I had to stay put.
Discovered Fransiskaner on the menu. (set of three for 95Rm - not super cheap, but not bad) - so a set it was.
Then we started on a bottle of Singleton.
The wymen drank some Bees Knees.

Starting early or late, Willy?![]()
^^^have not had a weissbeer in many a long while. I might have to scoot down to Dano's
You would think that a Bf-109 sporting wall to wall swastikas would be flying for Nazi Germany but you would be wrong
The swastika roundel is from Finland
Finland was also a part-time tactical German ally during WWII
However they adopted the swastika before the 3rd Reich had been dreamt up, while Hitler was still a humble corporal, at the end of WWI, and it has no connection to the Nazis
Erm nope Hindu Chitty, they were pre Buddha
That shit takes all the grey skies and cold arthritic knee pain away.![]()
