I would say to myself, "Later" and I'd then not think about or feel the urge for a post for hours, so was able to cut down and reduce obsession a lot that way.

I'd go outdoors, that helped a lot, having to go outdoors any time I wanted to post crap.

When I finally stopped it was as a result of deciding ,"Now is the time!" and putting the computer away and trying an obsession- free day, then the next, one day at a time.

For me, it was lobelia that made it easy, no stress at all, no problem, and no munchies or any irritability and no conscious nagging thoughts about posting about 9/11, just calm and relaxed.

I don't need lobelia any more to stay away from my obsessions, and I also don't need anything else.

Each of us has to handle their own addictive patterns in our own way to successfully take charge of our lives again.
Good luck with it, ENT !
