Barrett bros became first set of three to play a World Cup game and all three scored a try, Beauden and Scott also managing to absolutely and totally fuck up one each as well

Incidentally in my humble and seldom ever incorrect opinion Richie Mo'unga is the better flyhalf but Barrett is the better rugby player.
Both are in some pretty good form also and it's going to take a fair bit from anyone to contain them.
Ireland, the second best team in their group and third best team in the Northern Hemisphere will be sending those 3 ugly, ugly boys home along with the rest of White Ferns motley crew...
If South Africa manage to beat Japan this time around then they'll be the only Southern Hemisphere team in the Semis. I'm considering Japan a non-hemisphere team for this argument, and as proof offer this image:

England team and bench v the Argies on Saturday. I would have had Wilson (instead of Ludlam; I suppose he is a more natural cover for 6, 7 and 8) and Joseph (instead of Slade; don't rate Slade at all), but a decent team and bench.
England: 15 Elliot Daly, 14 Anthony Watson, 13 Manu Tuilagi, 12 Owen Farrell (c), 11 Jonny May, 10 George Ford, 9 Ben Youngs, 1 Joe Marler, 2 Jamie George, 3 Kyle Sinckler, 4 Maro Itoje, 5 George Kruis, 6 Tom Curry, 7 Sam Underhill, 8 Billy Vunipola.
Replacements: 16 Luke Cowan-Dickie, 17 Mako Vunipola, 18 Dan Cole, 19 Courtney Lawes, 20 Lewis Ludlam, 21 Willi Heinz, 22 Henry Slade, 23 Jack Nowell.
Ireland got off to a good start against Russia. I thought they were good for 70 points plus but then it all went slow in the second half.
Fiji had some great runs against Georgia and looked in much better form than the Uruguay game.
I know that we are not really supposed to post off-forum pics of other members however I've found this cute one of Betty contemplating tomorrow's match against the Argies:

^ I would not be at all surprised if the Argies got up against the Poms.
It will be a tight affair and not a walk-over.
Defo the match of the round. Looking forward to it.
Going to have a few punters around to watch it including a couple of Englishers so I'll be sure to give them utter shite.![]()
Some interesting changes in the ABs side to face Namibia this weekend:
The short turn-around necessitates it but Barrett the younger starting at 10 and both Beauden and Mo'unga being rested means that the only cover on the bench would be Perenara. All Blacks
15. Ben Smith, 14. Sevu Reece, 13. Jack Goodhue, 12. Anton Lienert-Brown, 11. George Bridge, 10. Jordie Barrett, 9. Aaron Smith, 8. Ardie Savea, 7. Sam Cane, 6. Shannon Frizell, 5. Sam Whitelock (c), 4. Brodie Retallick, 3. Nepo Laulala, 2. Codie Taylor, 1. Joe Moody
Reserves:
16. Dane Coles, 17. Ofa Tuungafasi, 18. Angus Ta'avao, 19. Patrick Tuipulotu, 20. Matt Todd, 21. Brad Weber, 22. TJ Perenara, 23. Rieko Ioane
The worlds best lock Retallick is back which is good and I imagine Ioane will get some time off the bench also to try to get his confidence back up.
Double post, sorry...
Respectfully, I don't think so.
Our next 4 matches are:
Argentina: we should win, we are a better team by some distance. But, the Argies might step up.
France: I'm not confident here because they can play really well. But, as long as we beat the Argies, finishing second puts us against Wales which is a 50/50 match, imho.
Australia: We are a better team with a strong record against them, we should win, but the Convicts have a lot of good players and are capable of beating us.
White Ferns: they are the only team in the contest who are clearly a better team than us. But, I also feel that we have as good a chance as any other team to beat them.
Here's our record against the Argies; many of these games we had 10 Lions unavailable or just sent young players out to blood them. I would be surprised if the Argies beat us - but frankly, if they do then we are nowhere good enough to beat the White Ferns, so we may as well go home now...
In that last game, we had a player sent off in the first 10 minutes, played with 14 men and still won very comfortably.
I have read from some of you that Argentina have a good record against us; don't know where you got that idea from...

Against France, Australia, the White Ferns and Wales, yes. Against the Argies, not so much.
You looking forward to playing Ireland in the quarters, Ant?If you beat them, you may be against France in the semi-final, and you know how they pan out...
&, that was one of your best ever, if not your very best ever, team...![]()
The Pommies will clean out the Argies by 20 points.Word...
C'mon Italy!
Not likely to beat the Springboks, but at least make it close...
Can't really see that happening still. Either of Japan or Scotland more likely innit?Originally Posted by Bettyboo

You only beat them in the final due to a dodgy ref, they outplayed you for 60 minutes of that game...
France are no walk over for anybody when they come to play.
Wait, let me check...Originally Posted by Bettyboo
