I tell you what I wouldn't put in there again....Frozen Aunt Bessie spuds

Spuds need animal fat saturated into the base of them
From the looks of your air-toaster, could you not just put them in without a tray.

The tray is why the circulation of hot air works.

    So, no.

    air toaster...no tray...

    You seem to be struggling.

^ 'fraid you missed it there.

Have you seen the bottom of Dill's air 'frier'.

Got about 2 years of animal fat in it.

that's gotta be enough for a few frozen 'roast spuds'.

All a drunk Brit needs is to dump a can of baked beans down into that pot, heat and eat. Chitty and Dilly paradise.

Where you good folks might be without the access to the prodigal processed foods could be possibly mind blowing.
    It's all good.

Because it drips there from the tray

As I said, that's not how the air circulation works.

You're the poster who has 'missed it'.

From the look of you, you've put away more junk food over the years than most other posters.

It's funny how you think you can play this role and other posters won't speedily see you are full of yet again.

Well, until your evening 'fun', at least.

No junk food here. A New Year, a new way of cooking potatoes.

I'm not exactly sure what these are called... maybe potato 'gratin', or 'delphin'? Whichever, it was a good reminder for me to stick with what you know.

They make potatoes like this on one of the boats I work on and they're delicious. Something went wrong here but I won't give up. I think a steak would have matched the meal better than sausages, and I used too much liquid and had the heat too low... and eventually just ran out of time cos I've got to get the daughter to bed at some point. The dish just didn't reduce.

    Crunchy potatoes in milk.

I won't give up. Different ingredients with better execution and a bit more time... and this could have been a nice meal!

The cheek of your Daughter! Show her some pics of Chitty's cooking and say you'll start taking kitchen tips off him if she wants to carry on like that!

They are called potato au gratin or scalloped potatoes (I think).

Tray? Air-circulation? It's a joke about how dirty it is.

He could cook the frozen spuds (that need their base to be saturated in animal fat) in it... because.... the base of it is covered in grotesque fat, grease and gunk as he never cleans it.

I'm not sure I can explain the joke in a simpler form.

But I'll give it a go.

    He doesn't clean it.
So, the bottom is covered in a layer of dirty fat and grease.
So, he could cook the spuds (that need lots of fat) in the base of it.
Because he never cleans it and there's enough fat and grease in it to cover the spuds that need fat and grease.

*No tray or air-circulation were harmed in the making of the joke.

(Not one of me best, admittedly )

    I had Super Noodles.

My wife refused to concede that these are better than Asian noodles because they have the word 'Super' in front of them.

My guess would be that it is "fløte kartofler". Cream potatoes.

    1 kg-1,5 kg potatoes

    2 onions
    Garlic if you want

    5 dc cream

    Salt and pepper

Can add spices to your liking

200 degrees for about an hour(over and under heat)

Light brown on the surface and it's perfect

Goes with everything and will settle directly on your hips

Food for men and daughters in all ages

Once me baby-finger was finished, I got out the toothpicks and an odd metal straw I picked up somewhere along the line.

IMO the sausages look to be the best part of your meal.

But I am sure it all tasted better than it looks, (How could it not? LOL )
Your scalloped potatoes look to need more flour, and less milk.

    But the sausage looked good!!
