Nice lamb dinner going on there Mendip. 9.75 is a bit generous though, I would knock you back down to 9.5 as I seem to be the only one to notice you didn't use a knife to carve the meat. Either you used your dentures or some other blunt instrument.

    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

The lack of yorkshire pudding has been troubling me in my initial score.
I'm therefore regrettably forced to deduct half a point for this oversight.
Still an excellent score of 9.25/10.

I would also knock off 0.25 for using mint jelly instead of proper mint sauce.

In fact, as punishment, I might have to pop round and confiscate the next roast lamb dinner Mendip makes.

    A hard audience.

    1) I used Dillinger's wit to carve the meat. Next time I'll use something sharper!
    2) You can't just change your scores willy nilly. Yorkshire pudding has no place with lamb and I'm sticking with 9.75.
    3) The 16% say that mint jelly is better than mint sauce. I have no idea what that means but take it up with OhOh. I'm staying with 9.75.

Anyway, just to show what is possible from an Isaan pond...

    Completely unsloppy.

This leg of lamb cost 400 Baht, about a third of the cost of the imported Aussie and NZ lamb we usually get at Makro. It was shorter and slimmer than the Antipodean legs to be fair,

So it's a third of the price of Aussie lamb and a third of the size too?

Does look good though I must say, especially the roast spuds and carrots.

I'd have to knock at least a point off though for presentation.
It looks like it's been served up by an angry dinner lady/prison warden/a Parkinsons sufferer/some raving Isarn alcoholic with delirium tremens.
Look at the way those peas have been slaped on there and the gravy spatter on the edge of the plates that a little wipe could have taken care of.

Your best effort yet though bud.

Looks like Mendys missus let Anna take a good chunk out of it first, to get him back for the fish

^ You can laugh Joe, but we know that the bedding will need laundering soon.

Then things will calm down a bit.

Fish and chips look good. Shame you didn’t have mushy peas. And a slice of lemon. And dollops of Mayo.

Oh, and stumpy the tuna was fantastic. Grill use equals a 10/10.

You've held that piece above the pan while you were cooking it, haven't you?

    American Cowboy style.
Thought I'd give it a go, medium rare.
Was a decent Sirloin and only cost £4 reduced from £6.99
Achieved a mild dose of the meat sweats, or is it food poisoning...

Hey Chitty. Why is it that all the steaks you cook wrinkle up like a hunk of bacon? The before pictures looks pretty normal. The cooked state looks odd and appears to have zero seasonings.

I give you a 3/10. Zero for the steak and 3 for the salad. Would have been a 5 on the salad but you added the alien cucumber stinky things...

    Stick with the slow cooker.
