He might have to put his false teeth in first

Today a traditional Sunday roast Chicken dinner with all the trimmings and a Looper inspired pudding of Tiramisu and custard.

    ETA 1 hour!

Getting as excited as a pensioner at the Crown green bowling club

Cabbage looks like cabbage, the soup was ok. It was just a cheap wee place I passed that saved me a walk to 7/11 at 10pm.

    160b all in.

Mashed spuds? For a roast. And boiled frozen veg. And are they boiled potatoes in their jackets?

Two independent studies by the University of Chester and Leatherhead Food Research found in 66 per cent of cases, frozen fruit and vegetables contained more antioxidants such as vitamin C, polyphenols, beta carotene and lutein compared to fresh varieties stored in the fridge for three days.Mar 17, 2562 BE

^We've done this dance here before Dirk with links just like you've posted, and it's proven beyond any doubt that frozen veg is just fine and often better than "fresh" veg of unknown time out of the ground. I could have bought and used fresh Sprouts in my dinner below but they've let me down too many times in the past by looking ok but having brown spots inside, having a woody texture, and not being pleasant tasting. Sure signs they're old. The frozen ones out of France/NZ/Oz are good 100% of the time!

Anyways, on to dinner. Saw some really nice looking Pork chops this morning.

Some assembly required, finished product may not resemble the results of people with real skills in the kitchen.

Those chops look fantastic. Are they imported or local?

Local. I don't think there's such a thing as imported Pork here, it would make no sense as the local product is so good anyway. Ok, bacon and ham and the like are a different story, but the raw Pork here is really good. The potatoes are imported though.

Ya, I see why those are top flight chops. So the another dumb question, are those cuts just for the western consumers of Patts, or could you get chops like that up country? Seems like that type of cut was taught by a western butcher.

    ^ That's a good question Snubs.

I buy a lot of packs of very good frozen pork chops (like Headworx's) at Makro and also occasionally buy them fresh from a market. I can't really think of a Thai dish that uses pork chops butchered in this style, but also I can't see that they would be stocked just for the Western market, especially up here in Nakhon Nowhere where the Western market is negligible.

To stay with the pork theme, I'm currently cokking up some Sloane's pork and apple sausages I found in Korat yesterday, with all the trimmings. I'll see how they go before posting a pic because I've had some very unflattering comments about my meals lately.

We are not in the stone age snubs. All good supermarkets will have a nice bone in chop. Thai pork is excellent as HW says.

In the cool season I do a pork standing rib roast. It just hit me I can do it on my barbecue as well. Be a fun experiment.

Had them before, they're nice! Just cook them slowly over low heat.

The bright side of this is while they're ripping into your cooking, they're not talking about your weight or toes

^ Pics of the full home gym he purposefully got delivered last year are suspiciously thin on the ground.

My missus tells me the price of pork has risen by over 100% per KG in the past 2 months.

    Just blame Brexit

Everything is rising in price at an astronomical rate all over the globe.
Apart from alcohol, that's there to keep the populations under control.
