From the above, where I currently live, 'chips' are what is viewed as 'chips' and 'standard cut' and 'crinkle cut' above.
'French Fries' are what is referred to as 'Shoe String' above.
Never seen 'waffle fries' before.

A Bangkok burger joint has become an internet sensation after YouTubers started challenging each other to eat its biggest meal - a near 6kg (13 pound) patty covered in fried onion rings, bacon and mayonnaise.
Chris Steaks and Burgers is offering a 10,000 baht ($330) prize for anyone who can finish the mammoth snack in nine minutes - one baht for every calorie.
^ blimey, that size puts me off (as the actress said to the vicar...).
^^ very nice.
Nine minutes is totally ridiculous even for one of those competitive eaters.
Stupidly indulgent habit, best left in the US.
^ Actually, I once saw a photo of the guy who regularly wins the USA Hot Dog eating comp ... skinny cnut he was.
There seems to be something very morally indefensible in these food eating competitions.
^ Looks good HW
