We have a bronze medal contender....
Pork chop, lamb chop and dry air fried French fries served with a tomato ketchup.
Glorious it was, although the fries were a tad crunchy. ..
Needed some baked beans and gravy, but i was in a rush![]()
Good I can post up my thick pork chop, sauteed mushrooms and onions and a loaded baked potato after my run and be in contention..![]()
Not much of an appetite after the crappy news, still it was a nice broth and buttery soft beef. Tea was lukewarm sadly
I've got the winner here....
After around 20 years, I've once again tasted Taco Bell......yes, they do have beef now.
The taco was the same exact thing I remember. Be aware that beef tacos are 100B, not the 69B it says on the menu, as beef is 30B extra. It made me say the "F" word under my breath, if you can believe me saying such a thing.
The "beefy burrito" thing was actually quite nice, for only 139B. Good value IMO.
The place was almost empty, however it was 9:30 am. Did a take out and enjoyed at home.,...
I bet my morning constitutional is particularly awe inspiring tomorrow.
"I was a good student. I comprehend very well, OK, better than I think almost anybody," - President Trump comparing his legal knowledge to a Federal judge.
Taco Bell was my first introduction to Mexican food as a wee teen on a first trip to the US many moons ago. Loved it at the time!
I took some pics over Christmas of Mexican food in the US v food in Mexico (mostly street food). Very different stuff. I should put 'em up on here as I'm sure it'd raise some good discussion points between our US based posters.
It's a given that Taco Bell has pretty much nothing in common with actual Mexican food.
One of the things the wife and I have discussed is what we used to consider "spicy" before living in Thailand for so many years. Taco Bell's "Fire" Sauce may play to American tastes, but it ain't nothing here. I used American Sriracha on my last taco.
Of course, but I was about 13 at the time, coming from a country where you could pretty much count the number of Mexican restaurants on one hand back then...
Wasn't/Isn't there another chain similar to Taco Bell in the US that does the same kind of stuff?
I've made this point before. Likewise in the UK if you're eating in pub/burger chains that advertise any kind of "fire" sauce. It isn't.
Pardon the interruption, but CSFFan, do you use a Klingon keyboard?

Same here as a 20 year old that landed in Australia.
I'm sure that it's about as close to real Mexican food as the Chinese Chip Shop curries back home are to real Chinese food.
After landing in China, I could only eat at the Islamic Uighur restaurants. Which had a much cleaner and tastier versions of dog/cat/monkey.
You don't?It's a cheap logitech wireless keyboard with a mouse. It's the bee's knees, the cat's fooking meow and the wind beneath my fingers. I can use it as a keyboard and mouse if I'm away from home. It's good stuff.
Same here for me...should I have a choice between food stalls, I'll go Islamic every time.
An extra thick pork chop mushrooms and onions and a nice baked potato.![]()
Aging one that looks nice!
What's the brown sauce and potato topping? ?
Smoking barbecue sauce, the potato is just sweet butter, cajun spice and some cracked black pepper..
^Speaking of BBQ sauce....
