    Tonight - Avocado toast.

    Got the bread, wholewheat.
    Got the Avocado.
Got tomatoes, spring onion etc. lemon, piri piri mix, worstershire.

Got to buy prawns, to make it a bit posh. And dill.

Very good for me. And I'll keep a bit aside and mix with honey and make a face mask. Maybe.

The thing is so soft, I may have left it too late. Shite - just buy another.

Trying to fatten myself up. Someone gave me a wee bit of dope. Which i nibble - the munchies i got last night were great!! Peanut butter sandwiches, salami and cheese, greek yoghurt etc. All around 1.am. The way to go. You just need to have loads of munchy foods in the fridge, and not have to start cooking.

Since i started that "régime" i've put on a kilo since last week!!

OK, it's not dinner but I have a shitload of bananas here so I have to do something with them. Banana bread. Really goes over well with my wife's family who gobble it up like there's no tomorrow.

Don't use a bread maker for banana bread. Takes about 20 minutes.

Is all purpose flour the same as plain flour or self raising?

Worth getting one though if you're limited to the usual sorry excuse that passes for bread in much of Asia.

I had one for about 80 quid a few years ago and it made really good stuff. Coming down in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread was only bettered by eating it 5 minutes later.

I tried making loaves in my little oven last year but there was no comparison.

I'm using those little gluay hom type bananas. We have tons of them. Making two loaves every day. My wifes father eats half a loaf himself. Really is much better than anything you can buy from a store.

Fantastic. Any chance of a recipe for the forum?

When I tried making a loaf it was either too hard on the outside and/or fell apart too easily on the inside. I'm guessing it was a temperature/cooking time problem with the oven?

I'll do a thread next time I make bread. I am learning how to make rustic bread now which requires a very long proofing time and baking in a dutch oven. White sandwich bread is quite simple and only takes a few hours. I have experimented a lot with different techniques and types of flour.

Decided to try out the new KFC in town for a western taste. Not really sure why I did considering I live opposite a pub that does pretty decent western fare and even wacks out a good roast corned beef. I actually feel quite ill after dinner! It was overly oily, now I understand that this is KFC but it was shining in oil and there was a pool at the bottom of the box. The branch was clean, service was good and English was spoken-so some positives. As for the chicken- the Burmese aunty outside my school gates puts it to shame.

When i was little, my dad used to slice a banana in half, fill it with chocolate and wrap it up in tinfoil. And stick it in the barbie.
