    Yum, I love those fish. Had a lovely little restaurant like that really near my last house, with a big lake next to it. Unfortunately no such luck now.

    Another Thai tenderloin steak for me today. This time a frozen one from Tesco rather than a fresh one from Tops.



    Served with grilled/BBQ sweet potatoes and grilled/BBQ sweetcorn from the local market. 5 baht per sweet potato and 10 baht for the sweetcorn.

    And as you can see, I made an extra effort for presentation today.



    Verdict:
    Flavour: Not bad.
    Tenderness: Not bad.
    Price: 166 baht for 200g = 830 baht per kg.

    Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper into to a bowl, with a good pinch of Italian seasoning and mix. If you think you have enough, you've only got about 60% of what you need. Add more.

    Spread the mix out on the cutting the board, and roll the tuna in it with a bit of pressure.

    We use the cast iron pan to cook it in, get it smoking hot with a bit of oil and sear the fuck out of each side and then turn the gas off. The pan is still hot enough to cook the tuna, we cover it with a pot lid, turning it after a minute or so on each side.
