I think the idea is to eat the pizza without the ketchup but leave the crusts. Then when you come round about an hour later with the munchies, dip the crusts in the ketchup.Originally Posted by Dillinger

Ok today I cooked my favourite roast pork Sunday dinner .
Hands up again my roast spuds are crap , compared to Satnavs crusty delicious looking jobs .. BUT today I finally nailed the pork !
This leg joint 1.5 kilos ,, 3 hours @ 170 degrees ,, when cooked strip the bark off it , put that back in the inferno with the roasts for 5 mins , rendered all the fat out and produced some well crispy crackling ,, BTW still serving my home grown runner beans from the freezer from last years mega crop .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
Nice one Nige, been a while since I have contributed to this thread so ill have to pull the finger out and get cooking again.
I hope you had some apple sauce with that?
^ Sure did pal ,, just reminded me as we finished it up ,, order some more pronto
I often roast chicken and beef, not enough pork in my diet so maybe ill give that a try this week.
Ill post the pics
Know the feeling mate ,, infact my ex wife used to tell me that quite a lot
Had a special request for my pork chops tonight. I went to 2 Villas and 1 Makro yesterday to buy them and no joy. I'll have to go out again today to find them. Will post pics.Originally Posted by Satonic

I'm not a big fan of that margarine with the granules of sugar all the way through it either.
On ya, Nigel. Looks handsome.
I used AO's meatloaf recipe today minus the bacon and topped it off with sharp cheddar cheese.
Delicious!
It wasn't far back.

Nige. The roast pork is impressive but missing the main ingredient!
Yorkies are meant to go with beef charley bo. However, i like you think they should be on every Sunday Roast
I'd eat them with chocolate!
Well the last time I served em up on here with pork , the old Welsh wizard read the riot act
Been about a month now since I got out of hospital and have been gradually building up my diet towards returning to normal. Heavy spice is still out of order for another few weeks and volumes are still low but last night I had had enough and had to cook a proper dinner.
Still not strong enough to stand around prepping veg or doing anything fancy that needs stirring or wokking so it had to be steak, roasties, veg and gravy
Steak resting until room temperature Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
Parboiled potatoes, a couple of garlic cloves for flavour and a whole onion into the oven..... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
The oven.... handy piece of kit.... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
Once the roasties were well under way it was time for the meat. Oil, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper on the meat (not on the pan) and out with the trusty grill pan. Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
A couple of minutes each side with a 90 degree turn for char markings and the meat is ready to rest at medium rare...... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
can opened and freezer checked out come the veg.... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
Roasties are ready....just need to remove the outer tough layer of the onion... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
slice the steak (Australian striploin from Big C)..... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
and whack it all together..... Untitled by Geraint Lewis, on Flickr[/IMG]
Glad your getting better!
