Funny you mention gas ours has run out but Gert is worried about buying a new cylinder because it's so hot in Bangkok at the moment. She said she prefers to cook with charcoal at the moment.

Me ol' mum did that to my dad for when he was cooking kippers for breakfast.

Some people have no appreciation of aromas.

i love the smell of kippers, that pla raaa though belongs near a drain, one of them stinkin Bangkok ones

Today i had to use something called a table and chairs whilst i managed to remain on the chair for the duration of our breakfast, the table failed to impress. Most of my food ended up on the floor.

Jjampong. A spicy Korean/Chinese noodle soup loaded with seafood. A poor man's tom yum with noodles.



Although this was one of the better ones, to be fair.

Made some khao pad gai for lunch. Didn't have any crunchy green bits though so I threw half a carrot in instead. Dead easy.



2 tsps of soy sauce, 2 fish sauce, 2 oyster and 1tsp of sugar.



Serves 2.

Tasty.

I'm off rice, reckon I'd bloat up like Daffodil if I ate that now.


Thai food is actually quite if you make it yourself with fresh and clean ingredients.

Yeah I only used a little bit of olive oil. Shame about the sugar though. 😐
