A change is as good as a rest they say
Last night I had cold garlic chicken with an avocado and cos lettuce salad.
Tonight, I think I will make a quiche and eat the rest of the salad.
Thats just what I had last night!! Planning a bit of a do on Saturday, I shall post the menu soon. Waiting on a Villa scouting expedition by one of our esteemed members.

I just had Somtum with noodle, watermelon and papaya.
Naam yang with a big handful of chikies picked fresh after the rain just before eating, sticky rice, tomatoes. Followed by more stucky rice topped with a couple a mangoes.

Bad day folowed by a crap dinner
cheese and crackers and a packet of lays potato chips.
Notjimng much in the house and couldnt be arsed to warm up last nights leftovers

AO, do you have trouble with pastry here.
Mine always shrinks, even if I let it stand for ages before putting it in the oven.
Is the flour different or does the humidity cause too much water in the pastry?
Lousy flour and I dont think the yeast is very good here either.
40 degree room temperature this time of year does not help either.

Garlic fried chicken and a very nice non spicy yam that I added nam jeen jao to as it was to bland. Good!!

Fresh oysters, shrimp casserole with glass noodles and star anise, washed down with some Chilean chardonnay from makro.![]()

A massive tri-tip sandwich with 'au jus' and broccoli salad at a place called "Claim Jumper" where the huge portions match the spandex encased bodies of the diners. This is LA -- home of culinary excess.
